Lets be realistic here:

RDA already beat Nate by dominating all three rounds. He knows Nates weaknesses which are his legs and wrestling. It would be a match full of wrestlef*cking and GnP.

GSP would do the exact same thing.

Robbie won't take him down and will stand and bang. This would be a good/entertaining fight because as we all know, Nick KO'd Robbie years back and Nate has an iron chin that could take Robbies shots as well. It would be a dog fight to late KO/TKO (either way), Sub by Diaz or Decision (either way).

None of these fighters above are "trash talkers", except Nate - so it wouldn't be a fight with big build up anyway. GSP would be the best money wise but would also be the most boring option.

Of course at the moment we can only speculate, it could be that Nate never fights again because hes enjoying the red panty night money so much.

Good fight, but Robbie is not the trash talking type of fighter, press conferences would not be at the same level than Conor vs Diaz, with that being said, there arent many decent trash talkers that he could fight, Tony Ferguson comes to mind, but he is already scheduled to fight Khabib.

I will certainly pay to see that one.

The just bleed gods will be peering down from their stadium in space observing the carnage.

Realistically, Nate doesn't deserve a title shot. A 155 beat the 145 champ at 170. Give it to Wonderboy

GSP vs Robbie is bigger.

And BTW "this other guy would probably win" is not a viable reason a fight won't be big. It's what can sell the general public.

Being realistic is acknowledging this idea is stupid, has been discussed every day for months, and isn’t going to and can’t happen due to his suspension.

Nate has suspension until 4/20
I'm not talking about Nick.

or am i missing something?

I think nate is a good option for entertainment's sake but not a great legitimate option.

Nate should fight Robbie based on what exactly? Beating a FW?
Every time he's fought a decent WW he's got destroyed.
Thompson has looked absolutely fantastic and is a potential superstar if he gets exposure against Lawler in a PPV which will sell millions, Condit just got robbed, and you can guarantee a war if they go again, Woodley has earned a shot, and Maia is just about due one too. Feeding a LW to a big WW champ would take you back to the PRIDE days with Wanderlei. Diaz is on a nice run, and should be fighting Pettis/Alvarez, not elite, iron chinned welterweights.
The logic here doesn't even make sense, it would be like giving Romero the next shot at Werdum because he beat Lyoto

I'm on board. I really don't care for the Diaz bros, but Nate is long overdue for a push.

I'd rather have Condit/Lawler 2 for UFC 200. I mean, realistically should Nate stay at 170 if ever he wins? How's it gonna play out? 155 is where he should be fighting next imo.

TS is talking about Nate isn't he?

Nate doesnt even want to fight for the 155 title as he knows he has no chance. why would he want to fight Lawler at 170 for a belt?

Robbie would beat Nate. Nate is a 155er and doesn't look good at 170.

nate has not fought at 170 in 5 years, people gain weight as they age, it might be time for nate to move up and test the waters again, his iron chin, lean back, shoulder roll, jab, check hook style could work wonders against the aggressive lawler.
