Media Nate Diaz: The UFC is holding me hostage; Asked fights w/ Luque, Ferguson, & Khamzat

They're not offering a mw fight tho. You're just throwing shit out there. He's the one who wants to get out of his contract. Just accept a fight. Simple as that.
Which is the original point. You think someone should always just do what the contract says, no matter if the provision is illegal or in bad faith. Does your justification stop before or after indentured servitude? Just curious

Indentured servitude lmfao. Now you're reaching. He ain't a damn Indentured servant.

Try reading it again. I'm not referring to UFC contracts as indentured servitude, even if some of their language probably isn't constitutional

Has anyone who defends Diaz delusions even listened to the interview? He contradicts his own points. We dont even need to do it.

I will stay with two points as that should be enough.
1) Tells that UFC locked him down wont offering fights and then goes on a ramble who he wont fight but got offered (Khamzat)...etc. So yes he got offered fights but refused

2) talks about greedy UFC money etc and then goes on a ramble (obviously to show off) how they were offering him a lot more money than even a lot of champs.

So whats his reaction to get fights offered to end his contact or renegotiate with a hefty raise?
Bitching and whining and bitching and whining. How such a toddler mentality has any fans really is out of my perception.
A bratty spoiled asshole.

Nate masters the impossible in letting the UFC business tactics looking good. Not easy to do but compared to his antics they are Jesus Christ Superstar.

I don't believe anything Nate Diaz says through his ass kisser Helwani.

No one seems to have specific evidence of this but Nate and others suggest that UFC are offering only re-sign/extension offers rather than actual "last fight of your contract" offers.

I know it'd take a lot of time and money to win a court case against the UFC but it doesn't seem legal to not offer any fights that would meet the contract requirement without extending it. Would love for someone with legal expertise to clarify if Nate's just talking shit or actually getting screwed.
They probably only offer him fights that are favorable if he re-signs, but if they were refusing outright to give him a fight to end his contract he would win millions in an easy lawsuit and they would likely be in trouble win any of their contracts. they probably just keep offering him Khamzat if he won't re-sign which I assume they are allowed to do.

As in they are giving him a fight offer (presumably Khamzat) that he doesn't want, and then giving him fights he wants but only attached to resigning. The other option is the UFC saved up his tolled time and just stacked it on the end of his deal.

It's more of an issue of lack of good faith negotiations where one party has far less power than the other already. He's getting screwed considering the UFC is purposefully setting up a mismatch to try and keep him locked in the organization.

Exactly correct. We know from court discovery the type of slimy tactics Joe Silva deployed as match maker, assigning guys intentionally unfavorable fights.

Lets all use common sense - Nate Diaz -vs- the #3 welterweight in the world should not be legal to sanction. Nate hasn't won a fight since 2019 and it was against a career lightweight. He's lost 3 of his last 4 and is unranked.

Khamzat is a former middleweight turned welterweight who is undefeated in his career and currently 5-0 in the UFC, now ranked #3.

This is the entire point of rankings and sanctioning bodies in the first place - this is how people get hurt.

The UFC is offering him reasonable fights if he resigns, or what should be an obviously illegal fight to arrange if he doesn't, where he is likely to get physically hurt in a clear mismatch.

This is the type of complete bullshit that comes along with UFC fighters having no advocacy.

Used to be a huge diaz fan back in 2007-2018?ish and nate has become a complete diva its crazy to watch him become what he and his brother were against for years its comical at this point.

What a load of shit. These fights happen all the time in all sports. Its the underdog who can leapfrog a lot of fighters with better records by getting his chance. Near every champ or higher ranked fighter also gets easy fights and there are countless reasons. Easy money, the opponent sells tickets (Nate), he comes back from injury. ... Nate isnt worn out Gary Goodridge he is just an inactive bitch. He should be glad for Khamzat as a chance to build himself up again. He himself made the change to WW. If as a seasoned UFC fighter you dont even want a higher level opponent please retire and leave the spot for fighters that actually want to fight.

something tells me you can't trust him on all of the above. the two of them live on their own planet.

they probably gave him one of the fights and he jumped out of a hotel window or something.

you would think nate being a company man for so long they would let him get any fight he wants

Mod edit: Threads merged (credits to @DUNKS for the cliffs)

As expected and as every other Nate interview, a lot of it didn’t make sense and he mentally checked out and rambled.

-Asked for fights with Luque and Ferguson. Turned down fight with Khamzat initially because he doesn’t want to be used to build stars, but later on agreed just to get his contract over with.

-He said he’s been trying to get out if his contract since the Bendo fight as he felt he was getting lowballed.

-Says the UFC is offering more money than any UFC fighter now with more fights but he just wants out of his contract because he feels the UFC roster is used and abused.

-Rambled about Khabib and Khamzat wnd complained about their styles.

-Says no one is good or interesting enough to fight him aside of Ngannou and Adesanya and he’s not trying to fight them.

-He says the problem isn’t money anymore and he just wants to be free as he can make money doing anything else.

didnt sign to fight luque or dustin but it the ufc fault? nate cant call out being law balled when he signed the contract he fightso ff and took long layoffs allowing others to resign new deals.

Khamzat is going to put a serious beating on him. If he is smart he won't let it go on too long, just tap from strikes as soon as the fight heads south. Otherwise, it could be a sustained beating until Nate crumbles in a heap.

Can you name some recent top 3 vs top 20 matchups, let alone ones that were good?

This was barely comprehensible. You can't have 'fights' in other sports.

Regulatory commissions routinely as a matter of their existence prevent mismatches. Khabib fought Iaquinta at Madison Square Garden because the NY commission refused to let him fight an unranked opponent in Felder.

That is literally one of their primary purposes.

This is how people get hurt. The 5-0, undefeated, #3 ranked welterweight who is a former middleweight should not fight an unranked opponent in Nate Diaz who's 1-3 and hasn't won a fight in three years. If this is in a jurisdiction with a competent commission, it would not be sanctioned.
