god, i hope they aren't pitting the winner against lawler. neither has a chance.
 
What's going on is that if the fight is a 155 and Conor loses then it will show that Conor is not competitive with the upper tier guys at 155 and basically has no place in that division or any right to a title shot. If he loses at 170 they can brush it off and say "he can still be good at 155, he's just too small for 170"

Conor went up two weight classes while Nate is running down to 155 to avoid a challenge. It's ok, Conor will chase him down to 155. Nate can't hide.

Why aren't they just booking RDA vs. Conor for the title at 155?

This is what I've been wondering. If they really want Conor vs RDA then why not just do the fight at UFC 200? It would make a lot more sense to have a "champion vs champion" match be the main event for what is supposed to be such a landmark card. Nate vs. Conor makes no sense at all.

Heh, because we are talking about UFC200. We've only ever had 1 other card like it, UFC100, and it sold the record 1,600,000 PPV. They want a huge cash in for the UFC200 card but they also don't want to completely ruin a future bout with RDA. Nate sells huge for them at 200, way more than RDA ever would because Nate just beat Conor and they talked mad shit to each other. It doesn't take a conspiracy theory to figure this out man. They are going to cash in on Conor/Nate rematch in the biggest card since UFC100 and if he loses they will say it was too much weight for his frame and he is dropping to 155 where he fits in better and the RDA fight will be a go and everyone not a Conor fan will puke.

Nah, Nate looks fine at 155. Never depleted or unhealthy, just shredded.

On the other hand Conor looks like death at 145.
