Which win do you think was more impressive?

Gomi was the #1 LW and for the most part was unstoppable during that time period. He was one of the biggest names in the sport at the time and is considered a legend in MMA.

McGregor is the current FW champ and on a great winning streak as well, nearly KOing all of his opponents. He is without a doubt one of the biggest names in the sport ever and will go down as a legend in MMA. McGregor moved up 2 weight classes, and Nate took the fight on 10 days notice.

Great question, really tough call.... I have to say Nick over Gomi, but the circumstances for both were very similar (two destroyers coming in, swinging hard, gassing out, getting boxed up and subbed by a diaz brother). IDK, it's a tie.

nick withstood hadoukens

LMAO!!! What did he say in that postfight interview in the vegas hotel, "IDK what the fuck, little guy doing some karate in there, throwing some super punch shit... throwing a little hadouken punch at me,"

Yep, very similar. I am shocked that Nate didn't at least get dropped once. Those uppercuts were landing clean and so were some other shots. Now all that needs to happen is the win gets overturned due to marijuana

lol, I fucking hope not, but whatever, nate got rich he doesn't care about what the record shows

"I'm not surprised, motherfuckers" !!!!! BOOM!

That's a hard one .

I do believe more people gave Nate Diaz chance to win the fight than Nick against Gomi.

Gomi was the LW champ and #1 p4p fighter at the time along with Fedor. He's the better win but Nate tapping Conor was more fun to see happen.

This is the greatest day of my life

he was not. He lost to Aurelio long before that fight against Nick. I do have a personal bias for Gomi being the best of all time lightweight fighter though.

Nick was high af

Nicks gogo was insane. Anyone who practices jiu jitsu knows how difficult it is to land that one someone, especially a world class athlete

depends on what McNugget goes on to do after this loss

as of now, I hold Gomi in higher regard as a fighter

Funny thing in hindsight is that though, after that fight, I don't think lot of people thought Nick was the better fighter of the two, I think more people thought that Gomi just wasn't motivated, as it was at times issue for Gomi

He's a good little boxer... for a little Japanese guy.

I try to practice gogoplatas at training and the main reason is because of Diaz lol

One of the greatest moment in MMA was Nick sub Gomi!
Gomi was a legend!

If it wasn't for the fact that Nate didn't have anything close to a camp, I'd say nick. but Nate went fucking hard last night.

Nick over Gomi by far. Basically a guy who at the time was more or less viewed as a UFC wash out beating the Pride champion. And with a gogo! I think people voting Nate over McGregor maybe weren't following the sport at time. It's been nine years already -- can't believe it, where has the time gone?
