So now that Diaz destroyed Conor McGregor, the UFC golden boy, the man many people(idiots) considered p4p #1.....Diaz deserves better pay.

At the very minimum $1 million per fight, this is @ the very minimum and a PPV cut...he also deserves to be pushed by the UFC instead of them making excuses for Conor.

Finally when the rematch happens and trust me it's gonna happen because Conor is gonna want to avenge his lost.

In his rematch, Nate Diaz needs to ask for 60/40 split, in favor of him....It's only fair. He is the fighter who won, Conor/UFC wants it, he/UFC are gonna need to pay up.

Reminds me of Surgar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran

In the first fight, he got paid very little, kind of like how Nate Diaz didn't get much compared to Conor

Duran would earn $1.5 million, by far his biggest payday ever, while Leonard stood to make between $7.5 million and $10 million, more money than any man had ever collected for a fight.

In the 2nd fight with people knowing Duran won the first time

Duran was guaranteed $8 million, and Leonard was guaranteed $7 million.

As you can see Duran got way more of the money because he was the guy who won....Nate Diaz better play his card smart because he is the same position to get a huge payday.

It's only fair for the guy who won to hold out for as much money as he can, more than the opponent he already beat.

inb4 some Conor apologist comes in here telling us that Conor deserves to be paid more because he brings the most PPV #s....

That is true but this is a fight, the winner gets to chose, so Conor has a choice, he can either live with knowing 11 day Cabo Diaz owns him or he can pay Nate Diaz to give him a rematch(and get destroyed again).

UFC better give him the respect he deserves.

Conor don't want none. Plus this could backfire for the ufc if they push for a rematch and Conor losses so I doubt they make it. Fans are sick of rematches. I could see them thinking the rematch would do numbers though.

Nate is rumored to have made $3.5m this fight. He made 600k alone in disclosed pay without reebok money and his ppv cut. He deserves it and I am glad he took it from rda.

If Conor beats Edgar, his next fight will be in Dublin I think. Imagine how crazy it would be. Conor vs Nate in LW for the titlte shot in a Stadium.

Conor first needs to beat Edgar who for me is worse match up than Nate was.

Its gonna happen in the future..Obviously not now.

Conor doesn't have the skills to hang with Nate Diaz with a full training camp...Thats quite evident.

I heard nate diaz saying the reported pay on the internet is false..The highest I seen is 3.5million so Im sure Nate Diaz was saying that number is bullshit...but Im sure he did pretty good money.

NVM read that right, for a title shot it could work.

Million Dollar fighter??

I think he certainly deserves a significant pay increase. He's gonna be a solid draw now after that win over MgNugget.

Id say right now he should get at least $100,000 to show plus a win bonus....maybe a $100,000 dollar win bonus is that too little?

Maybe even $150,000 to show?

Frankie got 180k plus 180k win bonus against. Mendes... I would say nate might be a bigger draw at this point... Maybe? but Edgar was champ soooo

Nope. Whatever his purse was, he will never have a payday this big again.

Also, the bandwagoners will leap off the moment he loses another fight. Sad but true.

I read somewhere right before the fight with Conor that he renegotiated his deal and its 4 fights/$250k with no win bonus. Not sure if that's legit but it was being thrown around.

"So now that Diaz destroyed Connor"

....aaaaand this is why I'm quitting the Sherdog forum after today LOL

Diaz deserves $1M per fight, eh? You mean the journeyman .500 guy who recently got KOed by a Bellator fighter? The guy whose biggest career accomplishment is beating a Featherweight 2 weight classes beneath him?

He didn't deserve the fight in the first place. Nate Diaz should have to beat 2-3 more guys before HE deserves a rematch against Conor at this point. If he can draw without Conor, then he deserves the cash, no doubt - but he has to main event a PPV and do more than 300K buys before anyone can take him seriously as a draw.

Godspeed and party on, guys! Enjoy the scintillating Diaz bros fantasy discussions.

Yeah, a $100,000 guarantee after adding significant dollars to an event that may have grossed in the neighborhood of $100 million (which is almost double what the first two Leonard-Duran fights did combined). That's basically saying his value is 0.1% to that event. Sounds about right.

Nobody deserves anything Bernieboy. You earn it.

Nate proved he was the better fighter but that doesn't mean he is the bigger draw.

Kinda strange nates manager came on sherdog to try to negotiate on nates behalf......but ya that seems about right.

Pay the man! Who cares he can't draw flies if he isn't matched up with a star! His 19-10 record deserves it!!!!! Feel the bern!!!

Inflations a bitch, but you are right they should be getting so much more, it's a joke.

Nate fought a much smaller champion two divisions down and his face looked like he pleasured his lady at the wrong time of the month by the end of the first round and is nothing close to the draw that McGregor is. Thread settled.

This right here.

Deserve ain't got nothing to do with it. Nate instantly got more popular with that win, but will it translate into buys?
