Not only did Nate beat conor but he beat him in a tremendous fashion. Nate displayed his superior fighting ability (boxing, bjj, mma, kickboxing), intelligence, experience, and heart. He demolished mcgregor and made conor look like an amateur. Conor tapped faster than sage did and conor was clearly looking for a way out of the cage. mcgregor couldnt box against Diaz and he was clearly about to get KO'ed if conor didnt panic and try to shoot on Diaz to try to take him down. Nate proved to everyone that he should be the one hyped rather than mcgregor. If conor was considered one of the greatest by the UFC, Nate deserves to take his place because he took conors belt without even trying and they are both natural lightweights. Conor was a basic fight for Nate and it was great because it enabled Nate to display all of his skills to take out what UFC considered their greatest fighter.
Nate Diaz deserves a huge hype push by the UFC for taking out their investment McGregor

Well, most of Conor's hype came from himself. UFC just jumped on it and helped enable the hype.
Nate (although he's the better fighter) just isn't as marketable because he's a completely different kind of fighter.

Problem is that Nate is established as what he is, just trying to get him or his brother to a media event is like pulling teeth. Maybe all these bandwagon jumpers will give him the push he needs but where was they at when he won the ultimate fighter up until now? Crickets

Conor represented their golden
ticket into a European market.
The Diaz brothers are completely
marketable. Actually, apart from
being non white, I'd say mcgregor
and the diaz are pretty similar
fighters in terms of marketing...
They both are do or die fighters,
they both finish fights, both can
sell fights if you let their
personalities loose & it seems
