Media Nate Diaz calls out Dustin Poirier at 185. Poirier agrees.

I'd like to see this, if only to see the creation of a division within the division. The money belt is born.

That, and i could kinda see Nate giving Poirier problems.

Also if Dustin beats Nate, it takes some of the potential for a Nate V Conor 3 away..
Dustin beating both Nate and Conor. And if he does it at a higher weight.
Not really, Nate has one win in the last 5 years. That win was against a washed up Pettis who isn't even in the UFC anymore. Another loss isn't goin to hurt Nate. His fan base obviously doesn't care that he losses most of the time. His career record is 20-13 and he's never held a major title.

Nate is retarded.

He figures he beat mcg when he fought him two weight divisions up. Lets call out Dustin to do the same.

Why at 185? Neither of those guys fight anywhere near that weight. Why not at 155 or 170 where they both have fought before?

the extra weight favors nate. I also imagine nate watched conor lock in the choke and was probably thinking to himself that he would have finished it. Nate sure as hell not going to beat dustin standing up and he knows it. Same plan tho, get punched to tire the other guy out, give some good punches in return, get it to the ground for a sub.

The way these guys talk is hilarious. "Touch you up" lol

lol mate dustin is a bayou bitch he ain't no west coast gangster he best stay his ass in that southern boot before he gets a western lite up and gets smoked

Charles for the belt is a much better fight and much more interesting

Rather see Porier vs Masvidal if we are doing silly one-off fights

By trolling you mean appearing very desperate whenever anyone relevant fights by inserting himself into the equation via twitter

then yes

Sometimes, yes.

Either way he literally asked for and received a bout with the #1 contender at welterweight who absolutely NO ONE wanted to fight. He walks the walk, end of story.

Nate is a self-made multimillionaire who trolls on the internet because its how you make money in the UFC. If the UFC starts to run bookings like a sport instead of the circus coming to town, things will change. Can't blame the fighters.

Wasn't he an injury replacement for that Edwards fight though? Either way, yeah I'm not saying Nate isn't a name. He's like a B tier celeb in the UFC, he's defintiely more of a draw and show than most fighters.

I'm just saying it's coming off a little desperate now with the twitter fingers, kind of hypocritical too

Could be wrong but hearing Dustin post fight Connor I think he would take this fight rather than the title. He seems to prefer money and grudge fights rather than chasing belts.

No.

There are currently ~500 fighters in the UFC. The top 10% most popular fighters would be the 50 most known names.

Nate is unequivocally in the top 10% most popular fighters in the UFC, he's likely in the top 10 or 5 popular fighters overall. It is hilariously stupid to say he's a "B tier celeb in the UFC." He is one a handful of actual stars.

Regarding looking desperate, see my initial post. He's a self made multimillionaire that trolls on social media because that is how the game currently works. Blame the UFC, not the fighters.

I don't get the weight either but still, why not.

I love Nate but he has no business at 185. He would overwhelm Dustin at 170 tho, make him panic wrestle like conor
