For all the shit Conor gave Diaz leading up to the fight, Diaz was all class after the fight. He could have easily added insult to injury after fight, but kept it totally classy.

If I wasn't a fan before, I'm a fan now. I feel we saw a Diaz who was very focused and motivated. I've watched the fight five times now, and I have to say, Diaz fought an excellent fight. Yes, he lost the first round, but what I see was him finding his range and figuring out how to counter Conor's big uppercut and left swing.

Look how perfectly timed that one-two was that rocked Conor. If you look at Conor's movement you can see he wants counter Diaz' jab with a big uppercut, but at this point Diaz has already dialed in that jab to perfection (he landed jabs 4-5 times previously to that)... the power of Conor planting his feet to throw a big uppercut and Diaz left right was what broke that Conor chin.

I have practiced Capoeira, and competed in Muay That. That spinning capoeira kick is very VERY hard to land on experienced strikers. It is also draining, very naive of Conor trying to throw that so many times imo.

Anyway, great fight. Can't wait to see the next fights from each fighter. Big up to both athletes.

I like how after Conor said Nate was the bigger man and he struggled because of it; Nate later said he was the better boxer, grappler and martial artist. I bet that stung Conor a bit.

Diaz bros are often classy after the fight. But if they get wrestlefucked then they will definitely let you know about it

I like both guys better after this fight, both were classy and humble.

Diaz definitely impressed me with his class post fight. It seems like he is on another level mentally and that will be his biggest advantage of an already bad ass fighter.

Stockton 209 Muhfucka whu whut...

Yea but he's not the better boxer. He got fucking tooled.

Conor just gassed because he threw too much trying to finish him.

Diaz boys have fucking amazing chins. That's the lesson to be learned.

Same here. I honestly and obviously didn't like Conor before this fight but the true tell of a man is in defeat and I have nothing but respect for his class and humbleness as well after the fight. I hope he stays like that, he really is a bad ass but not ready yet for the elite in the LW division

I just wish the McNuthuggers (not normal people/fans) would get lost. They are still the most intolerable of all

He didn't get tooled at all. The first round was razor close and Diaz straight beat him up in the second. I don't know what fight you watched but you should probably watch this one.....

I'm not saying Nate is right- I just like how he didn't let Conor sit there and insinuate that he only lost because he was smaller

And Conor did not tool Nate at all. He clearly won round 1 and landed heavy shots but it wasn't a huge beat down. Nate was losing but rocked Conor about 7 or 8 minutes into what was essentially a kickboxing MMA fight. It's not like Conor was killing him until the 4th or 5th round then suddenly got KTFO. I think Conor has more tools but it only lasted 7 or 8 minutes until he got clipped and turned into a "panic wrester"

While nates ABSOLUTELY cool in my book, hes got ZERO class lol

Honestly its hard to dislike either guy as fighters. Some of the stuff outside the cage might be reason for folks to hate but I like how both guys are always willing to fight.

How can you have more tools if you are a complete liability on the ground? That is ridiculous at face value.

Conor is a one trick pony who had absolutely no idea what to do in a fight when he landed his big punch and his opponent didn't fall down. He is the definition of a one-dimensional fighter.

Can you even imagine how badly guys like RDA and Khabib would have run over him?

Frankie Edgar will beat him and this whole thing ends. Mendes in shape can probably out wrestle him for enough rounds to win a decision without gassing.

He's a guy in an overly tight suit that is a big puncher.

He has more tools in the striking department... The post I replied to is from a guy saying Conor was the better boxer. Conor does have more tools on the feet. He has kicks and can both lead and counter with a lot of success. Having more tools though doesn't mean they are better tools. Conor was like a Swiss Army knife and Nate was like a sledgehammer.

He definitely does not have more tools. He landed his signature punch and when his opponent didn't fall over he did a series of really, really stupid things.

Lower percentage kicks, spamming power punches that gassed his arms. No cohesive attack with combinations.

Nate is a precision boxer who has added high and low kicks to his arsenal. He is most definitely more refined and better at boxing as evidenced by the fight we just saw. He also landed good knees and dirty boxed against the cage. His body work is some of the best we've seen in the sport.

Nobody would call Nate a sledgehammer. Its essentially the antithesis of his style. He's a slick boxer with excellent use of the jab, managing distance and knows how to throw in combinations. He uses his length and pressure in a way that is advanced for MMA striking.

All in you are flat out wrong in my opinion.

Agreed. Conor was winning the fight until he gassed out sometime in the 2nd.

The first round wasn't remotely "razor close." Conor won that round for sure and busted Nate up. He even finished the round standing over Nate, raining down punches. Maybe you should check out the fight yourself.

The sledgehammer analogy was probably bad lmao. What I meant was that Nate's main offense striking wise is pretty straight forward (sledgehammer being a tool with a few purposes). Conor IMO has more options and therefore was the Swiss Army knife (multi purpose tool) I wasn't suggesting Nate is like a powerful striker that crushes people- Just saying that for the most part what he excels at is boxing and particularly pressure from volume striking. Conor on the other hand uses a lot of variety in his techniques even though he does have a go-to strike.
