Nick Diaz v Lawler 2 please.....And Lawler Thompson in the mean time? Don't have a problem with it at all. I don't have a problem with any combo between those four. Even Diaz going straight to Lawler. Why not? So long as Woodley keeps treading water doing boring things against boring people and stays out of the way.
Nick Diaz v Lawler 2 please.....
always with nick. he's not getting a title shot unless its last minute replacement. he hasnt won a fight in like 4 years. there's real active contenders at WW. nick wants a shot, let him get in there and earn it.It's definitely my favourite potential match-up for Lawler, but I haven't heard anything about Nick fighting again since his suspension was reduced. He's eligible to fight again at the end of July this year, I think.
I think both the Diaz boys won't let the money change them. They seem to love the fight game.....this was not a ww fight, it was a LW fight without the weight cut. i dont see nate fighting at WW, those guys too big for him. he got ragdolled around by rory. maybe he gets pettis or alvarez? a top LW guy, and if he wins he gets a title shot. i imagine he's gonna ride this victory for a bit, then see what they offer him. i'm guessing he made a few million from this fight. as dana said, "he just made so much money, we may never see him again." maybe he opens up the "conor mcgregor BJJ academy for children".

I agree Mr Dalton, would love to be a fly on the wall when Nate calls DW a 'mutherf****r ....!true, but they also hate being played around and bowing to dana. he has some power now in negotiating his next fight. so it'll have to be a big one.
heh, in his post backstage interview he said, "i'm the featherweight champion now". too fucking funny.I agree Mr Dalton, would love to be a fly on the wall when Nate calls DW a 'mutherf****r ....!

I get your point of view, but I was thinking of it from Lawler's POV. That's the worst loss on his record. Not because Nick isn't great, but because of the aberrant way it happened. I think Lawler's earned the right to go after a loss or two. Besides, it's an easy match-up to sell as well. Would you prefer to see Woodley in there? He's earned it more than Nick.
