Was Just listening to an interview with Frankie Edgar. And he said Nate was saying he was getting phone calls from the UFC, to stay ready incase RDA pulled?

Yet he looked in horrible shape at weigh ins and fight night...

He was not in terrible shape. This busts is the narrative Nate got the call only at 10 days notice. If the UFC was ringing him ahead of time he knew it was looking good he be facing Conor. Did he train in those months for Conor?

Nate is not the type of guy who will get in a camp just in case. And yeah like already mentioned he obviously wasn't in perfect shape. The lack of sparring was the biggest factor probably.

Also, source?

Interview with Katie Nolan you find it on Youtube. Come to think of it Nate said at the press conference also, he got calls from the UFC , interesting.

If he got the call months before, its not unlikely he was training for Conor?

I am pretty sure the UFC would be very vocal about that. I doubt it is true.

Crazy! I suppose he has a secret training location in Mexico and some new alcohol training diet.

Thread sucks

I think it's unlikely. Why was he in Carbo getting drunk if he was "training for Conor."

Another fucking excuse by cloner Knights trying to discredit nate's absolute destruction of cloner.

He looked in worse shape than Johnson fight because at the weigh ins he had 170 instead 155, and in a fight 182ish instead 168ish. His physical appearance can't be the proof he was not in shape because it was not the same division.

He was getting phone calls from the UFC, months ahead. Taking a break for a few days doesn't mean shit. He was aware he was leading the pack to face Conor if RDA pulled.

When you get a direct call from the UFC surely he would have trained in those few months to be ready incase?

10 days out? You are really reaching. And, according to the UFC and Conor, they offered the fight to others before Nate. That's not leading the pack is it.

Did you ever think of linking the interview?

Edit: After watching if I see why TS didn't want to link it.

He got calls to replace Aldo the first time, but they went with Mendes instead.

Because he got calls he knew that he was in the picture for a fight vs Conor (hence the call out after beating MJ), but he didn't know that RDA was going to pull out, he's not psychic.

Your right, but most Conor haters will never accept it, to them all UFC fighters are out of shape couch jockeys who can't even go a round in between camps.

asking "if" he could be available isn't the same as telling him to "be ready".

Haha what does your logic say about Conor? A full camp and he gasses after one round? How do you think he would do without a camp. Fighting shape is a thing, believe it or not.

Yeah this.

I know Nate's in the gym all the time training BJJ and cardio, but I doubt he's taking punches to the face for a fight that may or may not happen.
