so cahd is a great fighter no doubt but its already been proven that he will never have a shot at being #1 when the 3 guys in front of him all took him out in spectacular fashion. Maybe the last aldo fight had its moments and he was getting the better of conor at times but the fact remains he got crushed by all 3 in front of him in the rankings.
What other guys are stuck that far back of gold but are great fighters and would destroy 5-10 behind them in the rankings.
 
Mendes literally almost beat Aldo in a FOTY candidate. Also would've beat Conor if he had more time to train.
 
Diaz is pretty much a top 5 gatekeeper. Schools most ranked fighters other than those with a great kicking / wrestling game.

Bisping is GOAT gatekeeper.

Ryan Bader.

Uriah Faber beats virtually everyone outside of the champ, and maybe the top 1 or 2 contenders.
 
Kenny Florian across two divisions.

I honestly think Chad could beat Aldo, Frankie and especially Conor.

I really hope his chin isn't shot though. That was a bad KO from Frankie.

Faber is also something like 15 years in as a professional.

The fact that it happened doesn't mean it would happen every single time,in different situations

Would is a great thing.
 
Formiga is one of those guys at least in past couple years. He was once arguably the top guy at 125. For his career Wins over Reis, Makovsky, Cariaso, Jorgensen, Yamaguchi, Kojima

Lost to Dodson, JoeB (both in devastating fashion) and recently Henry all the top guys. He lost to Mccall back when Ian was the shit too and obviously Demetrious would smack him
