Explain the 1 round in question. You pointing to GSP's face doesn't break down the scoring round by round. He didn't do all that damage to GSP in round 1.

If GSP was beat up so badly why did he kick Hendricks ass so bad in the 5th?

Again explain by the scoring criteria how it was a Robbery? You can't and you won't

Based on the scoring, you're spot on.

My hill (to die on) is that MMA scoring in general sucks.
10-9 is the most common score for a singe round; however not all 10-9s are equal.

Some are swing rounds (coin toss)
Some are definitive (dominant but no near finishes)
Some cause a ton of damage to one side (again w/o a near finish.)

For all three to be judged equally, and for the advantage of a 10-8 to be nullified by two swing rounds (in a 3 round fight of course) is terrible.

In the case of what I assume the TS is contending, I believe that the close rounds that GSP won shouldn't cancel out the rounds heavy damage (but not near stoppage) rounds that Hendricks won.

BJ Penn almost never shows any bruising on his face. He looked barely hit when GSP made him quit between rounds. Hendricks has a darker completion and giant bushy beard. damage doesn't show. If there was one round that was the most dominant (aka a 10-8 contender or a 10-9 that was more valuable than other 10-9's) it was the 3rd. GSP landed double the significant strikes 31-15. All other rounds were within a few strikes. The next most dominant was the 5th with GSP landing 9-4 in sig strikes and had 2 TDs.

Id have to rewatch the fight; but I remember GSP seeming like he was hurt.

Keep in mind, I was referring to what I believe were deficiencies in the current scoring 10 point must system.

I’m not contending that Hendricks won that fight.
FWIW, immediate afterward I was annoyingly explaining to “non-mma“ friends why GSP rightfully won that night.
