Yes, I'm a totaly noob at this. I've read a lot about how methylcobalamin forms are better absorbed by the body.

Any advice?

Why did you need them, what makes you feeling like your not getting enough from your diet?
 
If you do need them, yeah don't take cyanocobalamin. Shit is borderline useless.
 
Or fried liver, bacon and cabbage........

That would be ideal... unfortunately many people can't seem to stomach liver. I usually marinate it in milk, then fry it with broth, mushrooms, and onions.
 
It's a texture thing for me, much like with kidneys. I prefer beef heart or lungs from a moose.
