burkman literally put his head in triangle position. smfh unbelievable

Fuck I had Burkman in parlay that was about to hit. I was really thinking about hedging it.

Carl did a bit of damage control for me. Just waiting on my last two parlays. If they hit I only lost $20, about 10% of my stake which isn't bad. It was damn near impossible to climb back after the UFC event.

Tons of upsets tonight in WSOF

Also Moraes is a fucking beast

The fuck is wrong with Burkman?

Dude looked like he was fighting in quicksand. Before the fight I had read an interview of his where he talks about not training as hard as he used to, saying, "I don

Any news about the Stringer fight?

Lost $250 on Burkman/Fitch Parlay :icon_sad:

Can't believe he lost after annihilating Fitch. Just getting eaten alive with all the juice I'm laying down

Dude looked like he was fighting in quicksand. Before the fight I had read an interview of his where he talks about not training as hard as he used to, saying, "I don’t train as hard as I trained when I was 25. People would be very surprised if they saw how I train...."

At the time I was a bit taken back by the remark but just brushed it off as him being a veteran and knowing his body, but in hindsight I take it as him not training hard enough to fight 5 full rounds and preparing his body adequately. Indeed, you can over-train which is bad, but when you are competing at the highest levels of MMA you have to be well conditioned, which means training vigorously and not thinking that it is going to be easier than it potentially is. That remark has stuck w/ me all day and I should have listed to my gut and went bigger on Carl.

Here's the interview. Very brief: http://www.sherdog.com/blog/Josh-Burkman-Believes-Hes-Entering-His-Prime-58247

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

He comes of as one of those natural athletes who doesn't give it his all in the gym because he doesn't have to work as hard to be good. Don't get me wrong: I think he's skilled but that's the vibe I'm from this interview.
