News My testosterone dropped pretty far in the last year

Getting fatter over Covid?

Going from having sex literally every day for 18+ years to 2 times a month, with a 3 month draught?

Getting older? (Below average even for age now)

lack of going to the gym over an 7 month period?


I was always in the 650-800 range. Not super high, but always a bit above average for a dude. I expected a drop because I put on fat on my gut, quit fkn as much, and didn’t go to the gym over Covid.. But I just got my bi yearly test test and I was fkn 471 (4pm, but still) total test. That’s low AF for me, but a little too high for trt, apparently.

So what did it, and what should I do to make it all better?
 
Find a doctor that will give you TRT
So basically I’d have to stay on the rest of my life or just fall apart as soon as it’s gone? Idk.. At 700 I was able to keep getting stronger as long as I lifted. I just need like 200 more.

Eat a dozen raw eggs a day for a month( ideally a good organic brand)

Brazil nuts (high levels of selenium)
Boron(10mg a day)
50mg of elemental zinc a day
grass fed fatty meats
Abstain from excessive ejaculation to give your androgen receptors a rest( ie making your available testosterone more effective)
Heavy compound lifts

You're probably on to something. If you aren't giving your body a reason to require testosterone then it may just downregulate its production. At least start eating better and working out again. Also if your sleep is trash then that's going to be a huge factor.

I do 275 for reps incline on a smith machine at planet fitness, which is the best I’ve seen there, yet also terrible on many other levels.

I can feel my test rising and dropping with my workouts these days. It’s different.

They won't give you trt, as you are still within normal ranges.

You can either self administer exogenous testosterone (take gear), find a private wellness clinic who will administer TRT, but paid out of pocket, or take testosterone boosting supplements.

I have never seen supplements make a material difference in sustained increases in testosterone levels (unless you were suffering from a vitamin or mineral deficiency).

The one exception to this is people who take nolvadex and clomid. They will occasionally give this to men to increase sperm count during fertility treatment, but I know guys who do this simply because if sends natural test levels skyrocketing, and it increases ejaculatory volume.
