My Friend Was More Excited to See Mighty Mouse Than Lawler

I have a friend who is a casual MMA fan. She watches the ppvs and big Fox fights but she doesn't know everyone on the card like us nerds. So UFC 201 is coming to Atlanta and I was telling her the card and she was meh on Lawler but was very excited to see Mighty Mouse.

I thought that was weird. I like Mighty Mouse too, but with how divisive he is online I was surprised. What sucks now is that now that he is off the card she doesn't want to go.

Anyone else have friends who surprisingly like a fighter?

I just find it pretty surprisingly that one can like Weidman 10x more than other MW contenders, like Jacare, Rockhold, Yoel or Silva.

I try and teach my friends who don't watch MMA about combat sports in general. I assume they would be more into the more fight orient, exciting fighters.
Instead one person is a HUGE fan of Demian Maia. I like Maia and he is a great person but yeah still shocked random people just flocked for him out of no where
