My fitness watch says I average 6.5 hours of sleep. Am I gonna die?

Agree with the general consensus that 6.5 hours is pretty sweet.

I only get about 6 hours or so at night these days, but I do take naps to make it up on most days.

10pm to 4:30am. I'm right there with ya TS.

Also-
If you die before me, I call dibs on your stuff!

if i sleep more than 6 hours i will feel more tired. Used to date a girl who had to sleep 10 hours or more that was kind of a deal breaker for me.

My wife is like that. It was a deal maker for me because she would come over, hang out with me for a bit, go to sleep and then I would just play games while she napped.

I don't think it's the sleep, 6.5 is plenty for most people. Maybe look at your diet.

Ya, 6.5 is fine if it's good quality sleep. I'm sure 8-9 is ideal but it isn't realistic for most people. Nor do I want to spend all that time sleeping. I got stuff to do.

They are not that accurate but I always wonder if my tracker is actually detrimental to my tiredness. There are times I think I got a lot of sleep, check and it says 5 or 6 hours and feel kind of tired during the day. Had I not checked would I have not noticed being tired?

damn, you can get that much sleep?

I sleep 3 to 4 hrs a night and then crash for like 16 hrs maybe twice a year. You'll be allright everybody's different.

That depends on the individual. In Auruveda 7hours is the key, nothing more or less.

I would at least recommend that you sleep at least 8 hours.

I can never really sleep that long even if I wanted to. I'm up a bit after 7 hours. Unless I've just had a long week of training and getting no sleep I'm not sleeping much past 7 hours no matter what.

i am a regular 8 hours a night guy. Sometimes more as i find i can 'bank sleep' and then if i have a late night, i really do not feel it, if i have banked prior.

Sleep has always been my gift. Can sleep almost anywhere in any situation on demand. When i fly i am almost always asleep before wheels up because... why not?

I was shocked when I saw this. I know I stay up too late and it's been a bad habit forever, but I sleep in on weekends to catch up on my rest. I know that's not optimal but I figured it evened out over time. Been doing it for years.

Just looked at my Fitbit data and it says I've been averaging 6.5ish hours of sleep per night all year long.

No wonder I feel like shit.
Uh... DUH! We're ALL gonna fucking die! When is the question. Also, it takes months to die from lack of sleep. Watch Fight Club for Cliffs. Trump gets like less than 4 hours and he's survived multiple assassination attempts, so there you go.

6.5 is actually not that bad. I know a lot of 20 somethings who only get 3 or 4. Which I find completely insane.

You can easily add another hour and half and you should be just fine.

Sherdog 2FA will kill you long before your bad sleeping habits get you

I usually get 7 and feel great, if I get less I feel like ass but I hardly drink any caffeine these days.

With just 6 or less hours of sleep, I don't feel safe to be driving my car, so I try to nap for maybe 1-2 more hours of sleep.
