I dont know why you are entertaining this fantasy scenario where he just gets whatever stylistic favorable matchups he wants. Again, Bellator is the place to go for that. The place where he was allowed to fight cans and build his highlight reel up. The UFC drowns 36 year olds with name value in the deep end.
If anything it is the opposite...the UFC very much does put on more fun fights. Bellator is way more likely to derail their own guys momentum.
MVP getting fed cans was an exception for Bellator or rather the booking style of an older era. It's not the norm, and the UFC did the same thing with O'Malley and Pimblett.
Bellator has a lot more boring, dry fighters than the UFC. MVP has plenty of guys that he can make fun fights with. Him vs Gilbert Burns isn't a "favorable" match up for him. Also, MVP would get called out, it's not like he would have to beg the UFC to book him vs Wonderboy.
The majority of the UFC's WW division wouldn't be "boring" fights with him. Not everyone at WW is Covington, Usman or Belal.
Just recently Gary, Magny and Maddalena just fought and they're all top 15 guys. Why can't they book MVP against them - they all have different styles, they are not all "favorable" match ups for him.
Why can't he fight Neal, Wonderboy or even an insanely strong opponent like Shavkat if we are matching him with a "bad matchup"? He could fight guys within the top ten.
If he had joined just a year ago he'd have Nate Diaz and Masvidal, I doubt he is worse than they are. Again, not everyone in WW is some NCAA lay and pray guy.
MVP is easily a top 15 caliber WW in the UFC and not everyone can just take him down. This idea that he is some scrub is a huge exaggeration amplified because people do not like his abrasive personality. He was fed cans that doesn't mean that he is the modern Kimbo Slice.
