News MVP is a free agent

MVP was exposed ages ago. Even before Lima damn near killed him the Daley fight was a massive red flag. He almost lost and branded as a striker he had to wrestle Paul Daley lmaoooooo. Lima rematch was a robbery too and Storley exposed his grappling weaknesses. UFC WW has alot of strong grapplers.

If he doesnt get a highlight KO his fights are mad boring and horrible too. Hes 36 now and his style wont age well to producing more KOs specially w/ WW ins UFC he wont even get a chance. Would be a waste of signing. Far better more exciting WWs out there.

MVP Vs Wonderboy
MVP Vs Michel Pereira
MVP Vs Kevin Holland
MVP Vs Daniel Rodriguez

Loads of fun fights for Mike if they decide not to feed him to wrestlers.

Michel goes for plenty of TDs specially against other strikers (Fialho, Price, Khaos). He averages 2 TDs a fight most his UFC career. Hed def grapple.

Holland, DRod and Stephen would stand but 2 of those matchups have potential to be boring as shit b/w 2 counter strikers which weve seen plenty even including MVP himself.

Just get on board dude. We want MVP on UFC.

MVP vs Kevin Holland would make for a great fight to open a PPV main card.

Hell yeah. There's some fun possible fights for him. Wonderboy, Holland, Luque, JDM, Garry, Geoff Neal, Buckley, Pereira...

Bellator is the only place that's gonna let him continue to pad his record with low level opponents. We already know he can't deal with wrestlers and UFC 170 is filled with them.

Tbf he had a very close fight with Logan Storley, so I wouldn't say it's that clear cut.

I wonder if he might like the sound of the PFL prize, but I think the way their tournament is set out doesn't suit his style

UFC would be a better option, high profile, can grind out victories when needed as he's proved which is something the PFL tournament format doesn't always reward you for

I get the feeling he wants the recognition at this stage in his career. Probably saw the way Chandler's popularity skyrocketed in the UFC.

PFL maybe? The UFC doesn’t need him. BKFC might be interested. But he already lost to Mike Perry.

But he has so few legit fights. Mostly just can crushing. I wouldn’t waste any money signing the guy. The fact he’s a FA says something. Apparently Bellator no longer wants him, after Coker fucked up and let him do the one BKFC fight.

They didn't "need" Chandler either, but they were quick to snatch him up sir.

UFC isn't paying $250K win / $250K show (Idk just ballparking how much MVP must make) for somebody who's ceiling is top 10 at max. He's a fun guy but the best he could hope to achieve is finishing a guy like D-Rod, he gets eaten alive by most of the top 15.

They took Chandler because they knew he'd make exciting fights, and I think they'll take him for the same reasons tbf sir.

Difference is Chandler proved himself *close* to the championship level (nearly beat Oliveira) and finished fighters in the top 10, something it's very unlikely MVP would be able to do. I just don't see UFC paying what he'd cost if he can't beat the top talent.

Could be interesting to see MVP in the UFC. But would they want him at 36 years old? And would they make him a competitive offer?

You are applying This after the fact tho. Everyone was saying Chandler was a Bellator bum before he signed

He still held the Bellator lightweight title multiple times and had victories over multiple former UFC champions. There's not much reason on paper to expect MVP to make much impact in the top 10 at welterweight, and if he can't beat ranked competition he's not worth the UFC paying the amount he'd be expecting.

MVP is well known and exciting. It's a no brainer why the UFC would sign him.

MVP is a lot more competitive than people give him credit for and not everyone at 170 is some killer lay and pray fighter despite popular belief. There are plenty of strikers and jiu jitsu guys for him to fight if they wanted to keep him away from wrestlers. It's not like day 1 they'll put him against Belal or something.

I'm sure the other orgs will offer a higher contract than what the UFC does but I wouldn't be surprised if the UFC gives him something good enough to at least consider.

That fight was dreadful. MVP doesn't look good unless he's fighting mediocre opponents and the UFC isn't the place for that.
