MUST own PS4 games?

ESO will come to Xbox Game Pass, and since I'm thinking about signing it because of Forza Horizon 4 I might give it a try. Seems cool.

It's awesome. I have some friends that play on Xbox religiously.
There's a lot to learn and can be confusing since there's so much content.

If you like QTE, "narrative driven games (i.e. press a button for the game to advance)", japanese anime games that use the same engine and look like shit, or movies that you play for 10h and forget after, maybe they have the better exclusives lol

Bloodborne and Horizon Zero Dawn are the only ones worth a damn.

Also, Yakuza is not exclusive.

So one Yakuza game is coming out on Pc...

And also OP didn’t ask about exclusive games.

He said he’s looking for games that would take him from his pc, being a pc gamer then buying a ps4, why the fuck would he want games recommend he could just play on his pc?

He didn’t ask directly for ps4 exclusives but I gathered that’s what he needed by the narrative of his post.

Can you elaborate?
I did state I played a few hours so I don't have dozens of hours put into the game to know the nuances of the combat system.
You can't over simply a game like Rust or ARMA. Good luck trying to even explain those games to most people.
RUST: run around naked picking up flowers, try to build a house, and get killed by dudes with AKs suits of armor.

Dark Souls came out in 2011. Over the course of it's iterations, the combat mechanics have gradually improved, although the formula is still the same. BloodBorne is a faster paced play style than DS, although in the same vein still. It's not for everyone though, and the people that it isn't for, I really only have two words for: git gud.

Anyway, I don't own a PS4 or X1 because of the same issues you have: most games released these days are multi-plat and 99.9% of the time PC is the platform to buy on, if you care about performance, free multiplayer, mods, and the best possible graphics. I think the only PS4 exclusive I'm interested in is Bloodborne and maybe Persona 5. But I am waiting on that eventual Vita port. Worse comes to worst, I'll get it for my PS3. Unless it's pipelined for PC at some point... I haven't looked into it.

Hotline Miami 1&2. I know they're also on PS3 and Vita but they are still Sony exclusive. IMO the best indie games of the last decade or so. The over the top violence and difficulty isn't for everyone but combined with the music, graphical style, and surreal story, I think it's one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I've ever taken part of.

If you like DMC and action RPGs, then give Nier Automata a serious look.

It's on PC though, so get it there. As for PS4 exclusives, there are hardly any. As a PC gamer, I would never buy a PS4, and I used to only game on PS consoles too.

if you're into hard-as-balls top down retro shooters, check out Nuclear Throne
Can you give a reason why he would buy that for ps4 instead of his pc?

He’s looking for reasons to get more away from his pc and into his ps4,
If you are gonna recommend pc games, at least give a compelling reason to buy the ps4 port

To be honest I left my PS4 as the exclusives did't set the world on fire for me.

But CoD is def' better on PS4 if you still into that. Other than that I like Gravity Rush 2, Until Dawn, Infamous Second Son were all good.

What's wrong with that? Okay it's not a masterpiece and you wont regret it if you miss it...but to beef up a PS4 collection you can get a good 10hrs out of it, good enough gameplay and an okay story and you pick it up for a about 5 Euro...you can't really go wrong.

I mean it still has like an 8 user score. I don't know, I liked it maybe it's not for everyone.

it was pretty damn terrible. it was the first ps4 game i bought and the first ps4 game i regretted buying.

the first 2 infamous games were steller. this was a turd.

I picked up Bloodborne recently, while its more faster paced than DS and easier to get into, the visuals are terrible even on a PS4 Pro.
God of War seems to be the only PS4 game that actually looks good.

if were talking exclusives only, Persona 5 is cool but pretty niche if you aren't into jrpgs. Outside of that, if you play most games on pc the only other exclusive that jumps out to me is Horizon Zero Dawn. And the new Red Dead is console only afaik. Idk though, I feel like most of the PS4s appeal outside of the naughty dog stuff and god of war are the more Japanese centric and anime themed games.

Imo god of war is the one killer app ps4 has to brag about over pc / Xbox / switch. Everything else really worth playing is also on pc.

I agree. It's the go to game if I want to show off the PS4.

On a 4K display, the jaggies are really hard to ignore and the framerate inconsistently jumps around from 15-30 fps.
Playing Dark Souls on PC in 2012 got you 1440p+ with 60+ fps.
While as Bloodborne in 2018 gets you 1080p with 15-30 fps on a PS4 Pro + 4K display.
Those are all facts.

Lol

Muh, resolution!

Yeah.. just ignore all the technical facts I listed.
On an artistic level, I can see how creative and atmospheric the game WAS.
However, the game hasn't aged well and the PS4 Pro didn't bump it up with any performance/texture patches.

You've provided nothing to the subject matter other than your insecurities as a console fanatic.
I'd rather play DS3 or Nioh on PC because of those jaggies and shit framerate.
It's like playing a game with some sort of filter on my eyes. It literally hurts my vision.
