Yeh, and shooting people, and killing our own selves, and posting on anonymous boards instead of making real life connections.

Just finished. I guess now I have to go down a Google rabbit hole to figure out who "the alleged" is.

I thought the same thing. Netflix docs are more successful the more they document murder. Every other doc has a serial killer or a conspiracy to murder in it.

Talk about murder porn. They left the sex out and now people are stroking it to psychotic diatribes from formal cult leaders.

Lived in Humboldt for 20 years. I know a few people that have appeared on the show but I have not seen it yet. In real life, you don't want to cross the Alder Point boys and I don't know if the show mentions them. The last ten years saw a huge influx of Latin American and Eastern European organized crime and I don't know if the show features this either.

Are these the alder point 8 that the show mentions. Have they grown in numbers?

2 of them died in the show

maybe its because dead people can't complain about being singled out....we need to start something to give the dead rights

I have not seen the show or heard them referred to as AP 8 but has to be the same group. They are kind of like grower vigilantes. Growers themselves and they police other growers, they don't want people to step out of line and draw the attention of law enforcement.

If I remember the story correctly it went something like this: Someone in the Alder Point area had killed somebody, I think for trying to rip off their grow. The cops wanted to solve the case and it was getting a lot of attention. The AP boys show up at the guys house in a van wearing hoods and carrying assault rifles, grab the guy and beat the shit out of him until he agrees to surrender to police and admit what he did which is what he did.

It's been a few years so I am fuzzy on the details but I think I got it pretty close.

They shot him a couple of time to get him to tell them where the body was. He told them and they dug and found him, but the the show says the guy hasn't been charged for the murder. Lack of evidence.

No shit? I'm gonna have to check the show out.

Rumor has it that the guy they mentioned in the end, Zachary Harrison who was playing cat and mouse with the cops for a year, for the murder of one of one of the Alderpoint 8. He had an ultimatum put on him by the locals. Turn yourself in or go missing. The cops were so pissed that this guy kept slipping through their fingers, that they started shaking down people all over Alderpoint for illegal grows and warrants.
