Multiple people were killed and at least 13 remain unaccounted for following a “devastating blast” at a Tennessee bomb factory Friday morning, according to officials.

The massive explosion was reported around 7:45 a.m. local time at the Accurate Energetic Systems plant at the Hickman-Humphreys County line, west of Nashville.

Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis confirmed to reporters there were “some” fatalities and that there are people still missing, but did not provide numbers.

It looks like people in there were vaporized the building is completely gone. This is sad but I assume this is the risk for working around bombs.

Crazy shit. Hope they kind find those missing people alive but...that's wishful thinking

I haven't heard the words "bomb factory" together in so long I'd forgotten they existed.
A bomb factory in the us...it reminds me of the cold war or during WW II....

No doubt. Me too. Obviously missles and bombs down to grenades are manufactured somewhere. But yeah... not something you even think about.

I used to work in a plant that had previously been a munitions factory in WWII.

The floors were concrete, six feet deep, but the walls were all windows. They were designed to immediately blast out if there was an explosion, as little of the blast coming back as possible.

Interesting stuff.

The "bombs" they made were for demolition btw.

I corrected myself. I had read a different different article than what's in the OP.
