These are the relevant numbers, against Perez he shot 20 takedowns and landed 3, most of them were panic shots to avoid striking with Alex. Against Johnson he landed 12 significant strikes in total, shot 26 takedowns and got almost 3 rounds of control time. They were terrible fights to watch.

Yeah, not a fan of this guy + a bit boring (although not always) but he is really good and I really want to see elite fighters in the UFC regardless if they are boring or not to be honest. It wasn't just any altercation. Mokaev apparently wasn't the best to staff and actually did an incrediby nasty friendly photo to sucker punch setup on Kape. He really should fuck off for several more years for that if not forever. That's how low it was.

I’ve always kind of figured he’ll work his way back at some point. Whether he is now or not I don’t know but I think it’s inevitable. He’s quite possibly the best fighter at his weight which is a pretty shallow division to begin with plus he’s still really young. I have to imagine he’s smartened up since getting the boot, too.

His return gives the division more depth as well, that's never a bad thing.

I feel he deserves it. From a athlete point. Don't know what he did behind the scenes. Punching Manuel isn't nice but that guy might have had it comming.

Do you know what RAF is? RAF has literally zero impact on any UFC signing. UFC golden boy Bo Nickal is one of their champs. Chandler, Buckley, and other UFC-signed fighters have competed here while under UFC contract. UFC doesn't really care about grappling stuff.

We dont need Mokaev, Evloev, Arman/Usman Nurmagomedov, etc. all being champions who take people down and control them.

Why is arman on the list? He just brutallized and finished Dan Hooker with relative ease, and has finishes of 3 of his last 4 opponents. Only one he didn't finish is going to be a first ballot hall of famer.
