Muay Thai legend "McGregors kicks aren't great" ****Video****

I don't think they're meant to be seeing he's KOing everyone with punches

They don't really have to be. If he puts hands on you, you're gonna need smelling salts to regain consciousness.

He talks about ten things he thinks conor is great at, and they decide to headline the article with the one thing he thought Conor could improve on.

Then they ask him who would win between him and Conor in a muay Thai bout.

What do you expect him to say, that he would lose? Lol

That is always a funny question. Virtually everyone says that they will win and believes it. That being said I just might bet on this guy since he has the resume showing that he can outstrike Conor.

I'm interested. Just doubtful how much of a ground game he can develop so late in his career.

He has also done a bunch of Sancho, which has wrestling style takedowns. Additionally he hasn't fought in Muay thai much the last few years as he ran through virtually every remotely valid challenger, so he might have been training that specifically for a while.

Like who cares, striking doesn't= just kicking. Like oh my god why do specific striking stylist have to be so negative about a diverse striker? Like how about you develop a decent boxers footwork you flat footed LOSER!!!

I agree with everything he said. Its not like its a secret. :)

Is that the weirdo who yelled for 2 days straight on Twitter begging for a fight with McGregor?

Someone should tell him to stop holding bitterness deep in his bum soul.

Who ever said Conor had "great" kicks as in muay thai great? He doesn't. He's great at throwing those kicks from the weirdest angles, he's got great timing, it's not that he's gonna knock you out with those kicks but he sets you up for KO punches and throws you off your game. Same as Jon Jones.

Of course a Muay Thai fighter is going to say those kicks aren't good. He doesn't throw Thai kicks.

Conor's kicks aren't the most powerful kicks out there. But they do start to wear the body out. Watch how Nick Diaz throws punches. Not a lot of power, but high volume does slow a guy down. Conor's kicks are meant to pick away at a guys cardio, and keep them guessing.

Yeah, if you can get past being butthurt over the "not that great" comment, everything he said is pretty much on point.

Also interesting that he's training with Firas Zahabi...his fight breakdown for RDA vs McGregor had a very similar analysis.

mcgregor would win the fight, in my opinion, because mcgregor is 175 pounds. saenchai is like 130. even conor could out wrestle this guy

Haha you dont know much outside the ufc i see.

Aldo actually practices Dutch Kickboxing. Thai fans and Dutch fans both know the differences between the two martial arts. I don't understand why MMA fans don't understand their differences.

Conors actually got good kicks. Sure theyre not elite level Muay Thai kicks but this is MMA and they work well to compliment his boxing

I always prefered the label Dutch MuayThai over Dutch Kickboxing but thats just me
