"Muay Thai is less technical than BJJ"

I say its more technical(muay thai). Ppl just dont have the discipline and conditioning to do muay thai so they do easier sports such as BJJ. Like you said, there are alot of invisible aspects in muay thai. Also, alot of ppl lake the flexibility to actually through a head kick for example. Those BJJ blackbelts are trying to protect their ego. I have been BJJ for 5 years, muay thai for 3 years. I say muay thai is harder technically.

I would stay it seems that way because bjj has more moves. However you just said it there are only like 5 punches so the guy who lands must be the one who has mastered the technique speed etc, bjj has alot more moves that you may get got if a guy is from 10th planet doing rubber gaurd and your from a standard gracie school.

MT/Kickboxing/Boxing is just drilling some punches and kicks?

Nobody works on slipping/rolling or parrying on defense? Nobody works on entering and exiting the pocket at angles? Cutting off the ring? Is managing and maintaining distance not technical skill?

Some of your guy's coaches would be disappointed.

apples to oranges as a bjj black belt and thai being my least favorite of the 4 major fighting styles in mma i agree bjj has more tehcnques over all but its silly to try to compare them in terms of technical ability ect

if this was pre ufc 1 then ok but today its dumb
