Gym/Training Muay Thai Gym Q&A

Going to Tiger Muay Thai & MMA in Phuket for a month on June 10th. Anyone else going to be around?

Brian Ebersole was really generous in giving me a month of free training there :)
 
F.A group only allows a small number of farang to train there at any given time. which i think is amazing.
anyone know anything about sitmonchai and how many farang are there? im hoping not too many as im thinking of going.

Sitmonchai welcomes a fair number of farang because one of their managers is Irish(?), but it's still a pretty thoroughly Thai camp just outside of metro BKK. It seems like they get more farang "passing through" than long-stay types like Victor Nagbe, Stephen Meleady, Juan Mario Kaewsamrit types.

LOL... do you guys think I'm a newbie after an easy Tuk-Tuk driver to punish? If I ask for a farang. Maybe from Iran, Swed, Aussie, etc then I should be in a good scrap :icon_twis

And yes I know Bangkok is the place for Muay Thai training, but I want the MMA, and Brain Ebersole is happy to have me for a month free of charge at Tiger.
I really like Phuket (been to Top Team and Sinbi in the past) and I'll be stupid to pass this offer up :icon_chee

If you are good and train with the pro fight team you will be fine. Everyone else (like me) would probably train with the boxercise beginner class and be disappointed.
 
So next friday i am going to Thailand. Gonna stay at superpro and also train there full time. Hoping for at least one fight.

Anybody here been to Koh Samui? I am a person that like to try many different martial arts styles. So i was wondering if anybody knows what other styles of martial arts you can train on Koh Samui? Anything from kung fu to capoeira, and everything in between.
 
Theres a Taekwondo gym I use to jog past in the Lamai area. Didn't look flash TBH
 
Does anyone know of a decent gym in pattaya. I know of Fairtex and Sor. Klinmee... Any others?

Sityodtong is out there too, although it's just more a heritage gym at this point. Sakmongkol is the head MT trainer at the World Kumite Organization gym. You can also consider Petrungrang (home of Rungrot) and Sitpholek -- they've both fielded a fair number of stadium competitors in the recent past. If you stop by Fairtex, say hi to Rambo for me (and prepare for him to make fun of you and laugh at you if your screw up LOL).

Lastly, why Pattaya? That's like the groin of Thailand. :icon_neut

I know Pattaya very well :D despite what most people say I love the place and it's very cheap compared to BKK, Phuket, Koh Samui etc
 
26 days left for me till I'm at Tiger Phuket. LOL any of you lads going to be around?? :)
