Muay thai and compression clothing

I see that compression clothing is used in many different sports, is there any benefit in using it in muay thai training at all? Could anyone that does use it share the benefits of it?

if you like wearing rash guards in MT training or compression shorts just do it go for it

To be fair, that's a Shootboxing thing. Most -- if not all -- of the shootboxers wear 'em.

They sure as hell look better on the women, though.
