Haha... well said bro... that's a great way to look at your "First Contact."

Teh hole reason for using this most basic of programs for contests... is its simplicity & limitations. It bringz over-achieverz like @Brother Rider back down to our level.

I didn't know wtf MSPaint even waz for my first contest, (even though I had it on my computer... lol ) Brother Mike didn't either, until the others started talking about it... so we just jump right in & figure it all out & roll with whatever teh fook comez out the other end.

There's a ton of info on the net through a quick search that can get you up to speed quickly.

I'd recommend looking up a list of "keyboard shortcuts," as well as learning how to make your background scenery using "straight lines" (from one point to the next) n filling them with a color n stuff to get rolling. Text is also acceptable... and you don't gotta paint that in by hand, so that's a nice way to offset any scribbling you might want to cover up. lol
