Movsar vs Lopes 2

I feel you but Movsar being unreliable he’s well overdue, his resume is solid right now. I just couldn’t justify a Murphy title shot, he has zero quality wins.


Lopes, Aljo, Allen, etc. those are some premium wins.

Aljo is a premium win. Lopes was 5 days notice and Allen barely beat Giga, I cannot possible consider Allen a premium win.

Movsar has the better resume(ALL Decisions) but Murphy has a cpl finishes including the KOTY. Barboza & Ige were top 15 when he beat them and Emmett was top 10. No premium wins but availability is the best ability in any sport.

If they did Volk/Movsar I would have no issues as long as Murphy/Lopes was on the same card. Cannot under any circumstances put the final PPV in the hands of Movsar showing up to the cage w/out a backup plan.

Yair vs Lopes is the best fight but I do think they could do this one because of the div standing. If Murphy is next and you did Yair/Lopes then Movsar has nobody. He fought Sterling already. How far down will he have to go?

So yeah Movsar/Lopes probably does make the most sense in terms of div standing but Lopes/Yair is just so much more of a fun fight.

If he beats Movsar he'll be favored vs 37 year old Volk or Murphy and he'll absolutely deserve it. Robbie lost to Hendricks and nobody complained when he beat Ellenberger & Brown to get another title fight.

Problem with Lopes vs Yair is that it will mean Evloev has to fight Sterling again and I am not sure I am excited to see that. I would do Lopes vs Evloev rematch and then Yair vs Sterling (Yair might duck Sterling).
