Whenever I read about Evloev, I wish his relative Musa Evloev, greco roman wrestler, would get into MMA. Olympic gold in 96 kg, didn't compete in 2024 because of the politics which made me hope he would try MMA but haven't heard anything. Absolute monster.

Seems absurd, but Ilia has come the closest to finishing Ige that I've seen, & that was in round 1 so it's not impossible. That flying knee(or perhaps a step-in knee) rocked Ige so badly it had him on autopilot the rest of the fight. Aljo certainly doesn't have the chin that Ige has.

That said as long as Aljo doesn't get caught ducking into a knee or high-kick this feels like a close decision looming. Best-case scenario it plays out like the first 3 rounds of Usman/Colby 1.
