Brundidge just took more shots and got the choke. Not a fan of this ref but he let it go. Fact is, there 's a bunch of refs, who are clueless. Boxers take a lot more shots. You hardly ever see a stoppage in the stand up, unless the fighter has been knocked down prior to that.

It's not always about how many shots you take, it's how you take them as well. The funny haired guy looked very awkward after eating those shots, very stiff and defenseless. He momentarily and awkwardly dropped his hands down amidst getting his face pummeled and that's when the ref stepped in. Good stoppage in my book.

O’Malley stoppage was better than this one because Kris had taken three rounds of abuse compared to one

Punching bags used to be called guys with good chins back in the day. There's not a UFC ref today that makes over 80% good decisions. Jason Herzog maybe comes close to it ,but a stoned Herb Dean still gets most main events. Guys like Marc Goddard should have been fired a long time a go.

To me, a ref is supposed to stay out of the way, unless absolutely necessary. Come to think of it, Keith Peterson does not have many controversial stoppages. Just don't listen to what Dominick Cruz has to say about him.

At this rate for future bouts if a fighter takes a punch to the face the fight will be stopped
