Mousasi’s performance vs Weidman was impressive

Moose failed in the UFC despite his success before leaving. He was given repeat opportunity to get to the belt, and never got over the hump despite consecutively gifted main events and a heavy push. He also avoided the big 3 worst matchups and still blew his 3 contender bouts. Yoel, Luke, Bobby Knux were the 3 and all heavy favorites imo. He's living a pipe dream now tho, after getting to defend vs Rory who similarly failed to capture UFC gold, also who was a weightclass below, he once again choked and lost to a nobody in Lovado(who I respect as an instructor, but is far from a top 5 guy) and was now given another ww for his title hopes lol. He's not what his fans wished he was
Let me fix this for u. Like MANY OTHER EVENTUAL UFC CHAMPIONS, he had a couple OF EARLY setbacks. Lol - hard to believe this coming from you who I would think understands the fight model of an elite who fixes his mistakes when loses ( the few that he has over 17 yrears)and just continues to evolve. He was on that title run when he left. I dont know how any intelligent mma fan cant see that.

???? He was 12-3 zuffa & 9-3 UFC with 2 of those losses coming in first 4.
We call that a sucessful run in mmas top promotion. He fought out his final contract at 7-1.......5 lopsided wins on way out ( 4 early stoppages) ??????????????

* Also the clean mousasi cried steroids on a select few ......... and gee, a few fights down the road, he was proven right as they got popped.

mousasi bless

He was walked down for 25 and out struck 66-35. Machida did win fight on crisp counters and sig strikes. To hear commentary that night was such bullshit, though.
They both took home 50k for fight of night.
Machida was surprisingly better in TDs and ground work tho.

He may have been marginally better as a whole but he lost a round ( 4th) because of Mousasi s beautiful butterfly sweep and work after ( machida did make it back to his feet). I had moose 1 & 4 ---- Lyoto 2,3 and 5. The home town score cards were not indicative of that fight. I'm sorry.

A fighter who ducks nobody. Was willing to face Gus. Is entertaining inside of the ring and out.

You are projecting. Gegard fans love those things. Those are the things the UFC fans hate. Those are the things Dana thinks don't fit into the UFC brand. Ffs, people here are hating on Weili. Even if you hate WMMA to no end, Weili has to be the least hated part of WMMA.

That's why I insist UFC fans =/= MMA fans. The latter love fun.

There was a memorable scramble in the second round where Chris had Gegard from the back before moose grabbed his ankle, Chris grabbed the wrist and they rolled a few times in quick succession. Sad that fight was ruined by The Chris' lack of heart.

The way he kept getting back to his feet in that fight was sick. If I remember right he was attacking for leg locks to create an opening to stand. Moose’s ground game is so good and also pretty unorthodox

I’ve been a loyal Mousasi fan for years .... I realize by Sherdog logic once you lose a few fights you suck lol ...... as a fan Mousasi has disappointed me a few times , when he lacks urgency in a few fights .... but I don’t need a fighter to be super man for me to be fan ..... I’ve never not rooted for Mousasi in a fight ( Hendo fight I was torn ) and my loyalty will remain.....WAR Mousasi

Juiced up Machida is s tough fight for anyone ....no shame in losing to him ...he’s elite
Same as juiced up Moose.
I have no proof that he juiced but he easily could.
My assumption is as good as yours.

Machida admitted he took banned substance and was suspended.....Mousasi has never failed anything......only a complete idiot would compare the two

A banned substance... which was in an over the counter weight loss suplement. And said occurrence was in 2016, the Moose fight was 2014 but you Moosefans always say it was exactly in 2014 that Machida juiced. Where's your logic at?

So your logic is that Machida just started taking illegal shit after Usada came ..... so Machida was clean his entire career and started taking stuff when Usada showed up ...not plausible.......hmmm then Machida goes to bellator and he’s ripped again.....everyone in their camp where Brazilian juiceheads and I’m a fan of most of them including Machida .... but it is what it is

Gegard Mousasi destroyed Chris Weidman. After panic wrestling for a round and a half, Weidman gassed out in the second.

Mousasi destroyed him in the standup and got up almost immediately after being taken down.

No contraversy here. Moose made Weidman quit. Chris wanted to cheat his way into a DQ win but it backfired on him.

No link?
