Most successful retired UFC fighter?

Aldo opened a burger joint, then some others, round 2016. Apparently he joined Hendrix there. Tito has examples to look at.
I think Aldo just used his name for that crap actually. Got investors who lost serious money.

Good old Budd Dwyer. "Step back, I don't want anyone to get hurt!"

I pray none of you have to see that kind of stuff in real life. The smell of a body is something you never get out of your nose and you will always recognize it afterwards.
On topic, I'd imagine it's Brock who has amassed an enormous amount of land. If we're being honest, Conor is basically retired so...
Wow! Holy shit you know the video, blood was running like a faucet.

Oh yea, Dwyer was a classic shock clip in the golden days/stone age of the internet, I also had a semester long class on Political Corruption where he was a fixture for one of the units. I wrote an essay about how he was the only case of public American Seppuku. He went out like a man with that big old .357, the reasoning behind it was due to his corruption trial. If he were convicted, his retirements/death benefits would be forfeit; so to ensure his wife and children were set up, he did himself in on live TV.
His wife collected a full survivor benefits totaling over $1.28 million (equivalent to about $3.5M in 2023).
Dwyer's sister Mary Kun stated that Dwyer had made the decision to kill himself prior to knowing he would lose his pension and thus his motivation for his suicide was not to provide financial support to his family, but rather to "sacrifice himself to help the system," and although I would respect that in the way I'd respect a corrupt Roman official taking his own life to ensure the life of The Republic in books of old, I'm pretty sure he understood that he was going to prison for a long time and would rather leave his wife and kids with something rather than nothing, since his life was over already. Sorry for the blog post, I just haven't seen someone mention Budd Dwyer in years lol

Good stuff man, yeah I was in highschool when I saw this clip. I believe I would have been in 11th grade 21 years ago now. Fuck I'm old lol.

I knew some of the details but didn't know his wife got money, I thought he was just going down and decided to blow his head off.

Schaub gets to tour the country doing live performances calling his pig slop stand up

nick thompson. had a respectable career, mostly outside the of the ufc, but was one of the better perennial free agents at the time. handed eddie alvarez his first loss. went to law school at university of minnesota, a very good school currently ranked 16th in the nation by usnwr (just behind georgetown). after retiring in 2011, he went on to found a law firm, where he is one of the top railroad personal injury lawyers in the country. don’t know what he makes, but based on what founding partners usually make in other firms, he’s probably wealthy. he’s also married with 5 kids. and he’s only 41. not a bad run.
