Most intimidating fighter past or present?

Great mentions so far. Wandy takes it. One I didn't see mentioned was Matt Hughes in his prime. Guy had an aura of invincibility and looked bored in the cage before he wrecked his opponent.

Eh its kinda ruined by the fact that he kept smiling as st pierre was in the process of taking his belt. It seemed legit before, but looked like just a front for how scared/beaten he was in that fight. Walkin around smilin between exchanges

Randleman (insanely explosive - physically, a chimp).
Melvin Manhoef (because he "lives for this shit").
Rampage (looks like a rottweiler during the staredowns).
Kimbo (intimidating, but useless).
Tank (always tried to give his opponent brain damage).
Lombard (made purely of fast twitch muscle fibers).
Vitor (mentally a lunatic - he actually believes his body is the temple of god).
Thiago Silva (for obvious reasons).

That'll do for now.

Most intimidating man of all time maybe. I wish he got into MMA. Imagine that guy in the early UFC's.

I was the first to mention this monster on this thread.....Karelin is the most intimdating human being to ever crawl out of a womens womb. Dude was 14lbs. at birth. Grew up in Siberia training in 4ft of snow.

I always thought of Anderson Silva as very intimidating, he is very calm and collected but also has so many nasty ways to finish you, his calm demeanor imo increases it kind of like a clown holding a knife

That's a good analogy. Good call.

Fedor wins for me. Take a look at slow mo gifs and stills of when he was suplexed on his head and look at his facial expression. Doesn't even change. Didn't even brace for impact. He was totally relaxed and flexible.

Dude dodges punches and looks like he's drinking coffee in the morning all groggy and shit. What!?

For as jovial as Rampage is most of the time, you got the impression that there was nothing he would rather do than rip his opponent's head off during a stare down.

Pride Wand
Melvin manhoef
TRT vitor
Both cyborgs
Cro cop pre gonzaga head kick
Lawyer now a days looks intense

To me no one beat Fedor. It is one thing for a fighter to look big, mean, scary, angry, it is another thing when the fighter is standing across from you and so calm it is like he isn't even considering your existence across the ring from him. Almost like a a psychopath calmy implying thru a dead gaze alone that, "It puts the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again."
