Thanks, I just signed out Treasure of the Sierra Madre recently from the library. My memory of the reflection scene is that the reflection is blurry at first, and the sombrero looks like a halo. It was so subtle that I wondered if the movie-magic-makers really intended for me to see it that way.

Whoa, why did you hate 300?!?!

It was moronic. Visually awesome, but the dialogue, plot, and acting were atrocious.

Also, I love Persian history, so some of the....liberties rubbed me the wrong way re the silly action movie combat instead of the phalanx, the monsters, the outfits, the depiction of Xerxes, etc. And the oracles being monster "boy lovers" when in reality Sparta engaged in goddamn pederasty, so the heroes were literally boy lovers.

Basically it was ruined by the influence of Frank Miller, who is a childish douche.
