If you've never seen the comeback against Galesic you should check that too, it's the stuff of legend. The guy had heart and gusto for days, which is why he is almost universally adored amongst hardcore MMA fans.

One thing you can say for sure there is ONLY one Sakuraba. No one else is remotely like him. His rivarly with the Gracies will be remembered for hundreds of years.

he was a true rock star in the gracie feud. The crowd treated him as a God.

Hed come to the ring with blonde and red hair,and then one day he came out with half blonde half red hair,and something small like that made the crowd go crazy. He had to keep outdoing it. I think when he fought Royce,he had his wrestling mask on but it was three dudes with the mask,and all three were in their side of the ring the whole time like all 3 would fight royce. Even the announcer pointed to all of them...and then when he said Kazushi sakuraba,the middle one pulled his mask off. Crowd went bananas.

That was the greatest goddamn thing i ever seen or saw.

Coming from being a spectator of boxing I was completely ignorant to grappling in MMA. I thought it was boring and stupid.

Sakuraba changed my mind about grappling. He wasn’t holding on for dear life. He was trying to separate the limbs from your body. Had a pro wrestling flair to boot. I’ve watched more MMA than boxing since discovering Saku.
