most effective non punch strike

What strike other than hand strikes are the most effective. In my opinion its gotta be knee's. So many MMA records have ko and tko scores for knees, knee combos and jumping knees. What about you guys. What strikes and what reasons. No punching though.

While I thought "knees" at first, UFC doesn't allow knees to head of downed opponent, so I would go with "elbows".

i would say leg kicks but cecil peoples told me they dont so ill say elbows. They open cuts, can be landed standing or on the ground(from any positition on the ground too), and they ca be utilized even if ur opponent ties up ur hands

Kicks. Punches + kicks > Punches + knees because you control the distance and have many more possible targets
