Most effective BJJ Submission.

The last one you try. It's like where you find something that was lost... the last place you look.

I'm someone who takes whatever submission comes to them. In the guard I look way more for sweeps than I do for subs, and I'd say that the most common finish I get is a choke or even armbar from the back

For pure grappling triangle, for MMA, armbar IMHO.

The submission I get caught with the most is armbar, by far. Whenever I roll with black belts that's what they tap me with probably 90% of the time. It's probably the most positionally versatile and technical submission.

Short choke is my most common finish and I love the Marcelotine. They are the most common.

chokes are always the gold standard, no permanent dammage, and ends the fight definitively.

that said, if i had to chose one specific technique to show someone, it would be the DWL/kimura, simply because it has so many different uses (and thus, being a convinient loophole around what constitutes 'one' 'technique').

I'll assume the questions intent was to find out what we do/like the most/are more effective with.

I like heel hooks when their allowed, and i seem to get Cobra chokes a lot.

Triangle or armbar. I keeps it simple. From guard, i start off with deep grip towards the lapel and deep inswide the neck. Then i rty to go cross choke and go from there.

From mount, i try to smother. and then armbar or go for cross choke again.

Ankle locks work pretty well for me. I'm not very strong and snatching the ankle and falling to my side real quick to put it on gets a lot of my opponents.

....I have long legs, but if I'm against a bigger person, my triangle set ups are not good...also couldn't pull off an omoplata to save my life.

Often simple ones that nobody expects. Gyaku juji jime, something like that. People are always like, "no way!"

RNC, Guillotine, armbar or ankle lock. I never leave a tournament without one of those.

I immediately thought of the rear naked choke.
It's such an aggressive submission... Really hard to get out after it is on you.

BJJ Advice

I'm a white belt so I'm still a noob, but I get caught in mostly triangles and arm bars... I don't have a consistent submission that I catch, but I've hit ezekiel, cross choke, kimura, and arm triangle... I've never hit an arm bar or a triangle (confirms I'm a noob, I guess).
