Most dominant win to go the distance?

Silva trolled Maia, trolled Maia hard. Basically was dancing in there. That's how dominant Silva was that fight. It looked like a child fighting an adult man that didn't want to hurt him.

Running for the last 2 rounds is hardly what i'd call dominant. Trolling or not. Nobody watched that fight and was like "Damn that was one of the most dominant performance of all time". Dana threatened to cut Silva after that fight. Thats how pissed he was after that shit show.

You have to believe your opponent poses no threat to you to do what Silva did.

That fight was basically Silva volunteering to establish

1) I'm not allowed to finish you
2) I have to put my hands down and dance, and taunt you at least 20 times

Do you think it is possible for anyone to ever believe that Maia could be a threat to Silva after that fight?

He basically humiliated Maia, Dana got mad, because Anderson turned the fight into a joke and showed the world that the fight shouldn't have even been made.

What's more humiliating? Your opponent beating you up and laughing/taunting you, while clowning you, or just putting on a massive beating on you? I think the earlier.

I think the obvious answer here is Cain vs Cigano 2.

He beat him badly everywhere, on the feet, on the ground. 11 takedowns in that I believe as well.

It was hard to watch. Possible 50-40 scorecard if scored accurately today.

GSP vs Fitch. He beat the shit out of him for 5 rounds. Fitch had almost zero offense.

You are reaching here. That was such a shit show. If Silva felt so damn dominant then he should have proved it by going to the ground. And Maia is a natural WW. I really don't think that fight fit with this thread one bit.

That fight was so one sided and dominant by Silva, people got mad because he wouldn't finish Maia. Dana got mad because it was so clear he could finish Maia anytime he wanted to but refused.

That's why Dana was mad, because Anderson was the clear winner and he wouldn't finish Maia. That has never happened in a champion vs no.1 contender fight.

Cain could never clown JDS like Silva without being KOed into another world. I'd like to see any of these other dominant fighers do what Silva did and just clown someone for 25 mins without being KOed.

I appreciate the effort to convince me, but no. Not a dominant performance at all.

Come on, guys!!!
Kos & GSP 2!!

Pure domination by GSP.
Broke Kos orbital bone on first round. Kos was done.
GSP proceeded to dominate, but never attempted to end the fight.

Poor Koscheck was so desperate, he shot blindly against GSP, and GSP would not "take the bait" and end the fight!

This was the first fight I went from hate (for Kos) to pity... so much as to scream (to the TV) for the referee to just end the fight!
He couldn't get on a plane for like 6 months after that cause his face was so fucked. That fight would have been stopped any time in the last 6 or 7 years. He couldn't see anything out of his eye for most of the fight. And gsp just kept jabbing it over and over, for 25 min lol. Can't believe he didn't finish it

Agree to disagree, for me, I find dominance and humiliation to go a little bit side by side.

If I lose to someone, I want to know I lost to someone trying their best, even if it's a merciless beatdown. For me, there's nothing more embarrassing than giving it my all, to find out I lost to someone who didn't even try because he thought I was that out of their league.

No one likes to see that type of win, but if you are able to beat someone and make it look like you aren't trying, it is quite dominant in my opinion.

Another example of this is CM Punk vs. Jackson, where Jackson was basically playing with him on the ground lol. I find Silva far more impressive because he did it to a title challenger.

Werdum vs Browne should be mentioned, both times as I recall was total humiliation, Werdum was landing TKD kicks, spinning attacks and 4 hit combos at will

Maia vs Nelson was a 30-24 and just amazing work from Maia.

Bader vs Mitrione is up there. I don't think Mitrione landed a significant strike at all.

Kazushi Sakuraba vs Royce Gracie at Pride Grand Prix 2000

Miocic vs ngannou 1
I think it was round 4, miocic beat him 80 strikes to 0 or something like that

it was the first fight I hated GSP for being a bully (or for not finishing a fight). I mean, I love GSP, but that night, it tested my love!!!!
