That was the closest anyone's come to dying in there... 5 minutes he was out, and he left on a stretcher... Dana even said he was scared. Dude got cut straight away, and didnt fight for a long time after.

Yeah I remember it when it happened, it was scary, he was out for a long time and was not moving. The only other fight in UFC when I can remember thinking someone might have died was Tank Abbott vs Steve Nelmark, that was super scary that fight, Nelmark legit looked dead and didn't come around for ages, he was still out cold on the stretcher.

Big Nog vs Roy Nelson was a bad one too, Big Nog was out for a while and they tried to cut away to Roy for as long as possible, Nog was getting a lot of treatment to get him to come round
