Growing up in Germany we used to drive down to Bavaria for our holidays and I've always thought of it as the most beautiful place I've ever been. As for the highlight it has to be Neuschwanstein Castle

WhiteHaven Beach, in the Whitsunday islands, Queensland, Australia.

astonishing. The sand is so fine, it squeaks when you scuff your foot along it. I tried it and it does.
100% unspoilt, you can only go there by seaplane or charter boat. ZERO litter, it's just an incredible place.

The sand is so white (98% pure silica) and so FINE that the wind blows the sand completely flat all the time. So unlike footprints etc on a regular beach.... the surface of the sand is just FLAT and SMOOTH, it's super weird, it's almost like walking in a pure-white virgin snow-covered field.
