Multiplat Mortal Kombat: Legacy Collection

That’s the one I was hoping for. I rented it once then never got to see it again. Always wanted to finish it.
I never played it! Wanted both back then, but I guess growing up, they both got forgotten.

Sub zero game got infamous for being lousy, so in default I guessed the other game was good.

Reviews are extremely positive though. What do you mean?
All the reviews I have seen have been pretty bad. Basically online play is jank with little in the way of options and input lag is not great. Online is supposed to be patched, but it screams the release was driven by making a Halloween release date rather than based on when the game was actually finished. Overall Digital Eclipse sucks for these types of releases. There is a reason Capcom dropped them after the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection.

This Kollection looked disappointing from the jump and I'm glad didn't buy into the hype.

Worst case of nostalgia bait I've seen since that Atari 50 thing.

I have the arcade collection on Steam. I'd have bought this for Deadly Alliance (the full version) and Deception but that's exactly what they didn't deliver.

Are you telling me there's no online competitive chess Kombat? smh

Sony giving out refunds is wild.

Its...not great. Can't land a hit in UMk3 in the novice tower. The computer has an answer for everything

There's nothing to fix. That's how the A.I. for UMK3 is. I can easily beat that game and I even discovered the free credit glitch by accident. It got to the point where I would select the Mega Endurance Fight after completing the Master Tower and I would leave all 5 opponents neatly stacked on top of each other just because I can.

Is the A.I. cheap? YES!
Is it exploitable? Like most games, yes.

I still have a Playstation copy of this, disc is probably in perfect shape since I didn't play it much. This game pissed me off in a whole different way back in the day lol.
I beat it a few times, even took out Shinook. For whatever reason I really liked it as a kid.

They're already struggling to properly emulate the older arcade games, no way they would pull off emulating these for a release like this.

You can run these nicely at high resolution with texture replacements in PCSX2 tho.

I played the hell out of Deception on X-Box back in the day.

Is it the version of UMK3 that has Baraka or the version that doesn't have him?

I find that a lot of these nostalgia collections lose steam pretty quickly when the novelty wears off.

Even back in the days I knew that the combat is much less deep that street fighter, but the presentation, especially MK2 was so top notch and revolutionary for its time.

It still looks and sounds good today, but playing it...

The AI is atrociously unfair, and ducks every projectile you shoot.

I was a savage as a teenager and would whup all these games regularly.

I can "figure" out how to beat them now, but it's not really that rewarding in the same way other hard fighting games like samurai shodown are.
