I got advice from sherdog a couple weeks ago about boxing sparring and tried to apply some of it. I made a point to myself about not circling into the other guy's power hand but once I got tired or whatever the reason I resorted to doing only that. But I did apply the advice about blocking with a high guard and firing a cross counter and not engaging into a hook war. I'm the one wearing black.

Fixed Sir! I would be honored but at the same time somewhat embarrassed for you to watch this.

Bend your knees a bit more. Even if you're taller than the other guy you shouldbt necessarily be TOWERING over them so that your punches become difficult to aim at them. The closer the shorter fighter gets (if they're aggressive) the more you bend your knees and aim to be shoulder-to-shoulder with them, if you know how to shorten your punches. Otherwise you become this big tower of a target whi is vulnerable to over-hand punches, and easily pushed back because you're not well-rooted.

Check out this fignt with Rafael Espinoza against Robeisy Ramirez for some ideas:

Thank you I really appreciate that you took the time to watch it.
That makes a lot of sense, I felt like I had an advantage standing taller but just from trying it at home I can see that bending the knees makes it much more comfortable to do actual boxing moves (I train Muay Thai but often do these sparring rounds against boxing guys). Right away I can see things to draw from Espinoza. I had a cold and took a week off from training but will definitely look to try the lower stance.

Let's see it when you do.
