Are fighters just getting to be less professional, or are they trying to cut too much weight? I think it's a mixture of both. Seems like with every card there is one or two fighters who don't make weight.

UFC is not doing enough to penalize these fighters who aren't making weight. Look at McKenzie Dern, she basically got rewarded for coming in 7 pounds over. Romero misses weight more often than he makes weight it seems and he just fought for a title. Fighters will look for every possible advantage, if they can get away with it.

I remember when Travis Lutter didn't make weight against Anderson Silva and everyone lost their shit over it. It was a huge deal. Now, it's the new norm...

Guys are trying to cut too much weight to gain an unfair advantage, and at the same time there are a lot of supplements that help shed weight that USADA prohibits.

The only solution is two weigh ins. One the day before, and one stepping into the cage, allowing only a small percentage gain.
