I don’t agree. The amount of good WMMA fights, and they do exist, just doesn’t justify keeping it in the UFC with the amount of awful ones WMMA puts out.

This. There are terrible women’s fights and terrible men’s fights. At least with the men there seems to be some athleticism. But not always. You gonna tell me Cody McKenzie is athletic?

Cody mckenzie is not athletic but he would still absolutely wreck every single wmma out there. So you're already watching an inferior product and then you have to watch an absolute shit show like that fight. I honestly feel bad for Wmma....the talent pool is just not there in my opinion. You do have great fighters such as Nunes or valentina or joanna but overall it's a very poor product.

I always found Rhonda or valentina or Nunes exciting to watch so I'm not really shitting on women fighting but I do wish the ufc had a different plan in place where they would build up these fighters in perhaps dana whites contender series style. Then again, this specific fight was on free TV so maybe we should all shut up and enjoy it haha although main card is also free tv

That was truly terrible. Like someone already mentioned, it was so bad i just continued to watch so i could hear the commentators mention how much she had missed, and they were obviously quite aware that she was throwing those half jabs on purpose.

In the build up it seemed like she was a pretty exciting grappler, but that seemed to go right out the window.

I think he'd beat Cyborg and Nunes but I wouldn't say he's more athletic by comparison. He's naturally stronger and therefore at a huge advantage. As far as athleticism...not so much IMO.

How so? I’d guarantee prime Cody McKenzie could lift more, run faster, throw a football further, had better cardio and could also beat them in a stand up fight jiu jitsu match wrestling/arm wrestling match.

He was overall better at anything and everything, and he wasn’t fighting soccer moms.
Cody Mckenzie would look like an A level athlete if he was fighting Felicia spencer and Raiquel Pennington instead of chad mendes let’s not forget that.

Of course Moras deserves to be cut, Melo too, although they might keep her around, given that she's taken a couple of late fights.

How one bad fight translates to all wmma fights must go, is something that only makes sense in the minds of folk with an agenda. Guys, you'll have to come up with better arguments.
