Machida had as many actual title defenses as Matt Serra. Which is to say none really. Shogun destroyed his legs and should have won the first fight. This was further proven by Shogun's vicious knockout in the 2nd fight. (Post gif for brownie points"

Machida was boring AF and was able to look great against fighters with atrocious gamelans and fight iq's.
The Moose fight was his last hurrah I suppose and it personally doesn't bother me a bit. Just another boring decision win from the bicycler.

Contrast his boring evasive paper thin style held aloft solely by the hype machine Joe Rogan and his ability to say "OHHHHHH He CAUGHT EM!!!" at the top of his lungs after every little hit from the karate kick boxer.
Moose tooled Weidman and has a win over Jacare. Machida's best win is Rashad Evans and has nothing close to some of the amazing performances by the man with the Fedor mystique, Moose.

The only "Fedor Mystique" that Moose has at this point is that he and Fedor both got beat up recently by mid tier guys below their normal weight classes and got gift decisions.

Did you miss machida prime? Did fightfinder explain that to you or are you must plain trolling ? I'm a huge moose fan , And a machida fan. Don' make the rest of us look dumb because you dislike machida.
 
Machida has had his boring fights compared to moose but he has also had much more spectacular fights compared to moose. He has also beaten Moose and been UFC champ, something Moose hasnt been able to say.

Not the best analogy for comparison, but moose got KTFO by urijah hall man.

Machida has lost to mostly champs, except for Brunson. I'm still salty about that one.

That's a tough compare cuz Moose is only like 30, ten years younger than Chida, and the guy was like 28-2, with wins over Jacare, Hendo, Vitor, Weidman, Prime Hector, HW Hunto and Jake O'Brien, GOAT striker Manhoef and had some absolutely sick finishes vs the likes of Babalu, Hendo, Munoz etc. Moose is a super complete fighter, good everywhere, and the majority of his loses came to juicers busted by USADA (King Mo/Lyoto) or those strongly suspected of juicing.

Let's hope Moose comes back to the UFC.
