You just never know. So be careful with your pick and shovel while up there on the moon.what you've posted here right now is absolutely brilliant.

It costs Space X $5650 per pound so $11,300,00 per ton to put anything into orbit around the Earth. Does anyone understand how many thousands of tons of equipment it takes to run a mining operation? Anything brought back would have to be in the purest form possible. Smelting metals requires tons of coal, limestone, air and lots of electricity.

If you watch the gold mining shows, they process tons of dirt to get a few ounces of gold and that gold has been washed down by millions of years of water erosion.
It will go down over time with the advancement of engine technology
I feel bad for all of the people on the moon who will be displaced by this. Thanks Trump.
It will still require the same amount of energy to get into Earth orbit. Rocket engines work out to about 62% efficiency because they have to carry the hydrogen fuel and the oxygen to burn it. Same thing coming from the moon. Thy would need to find enough water and use electricity to break it down into hydrogen and oxygen. That would require acres of solar panels and thousands of gallons of water. A nuclear reactor could be built on the moon but I think there is a treaty involved.
Sounds pretty glorious to meIf you think corporations go unchecked now wait till we start spreading out in our solar system.
This is inevitable for the human species

Yea it's too bad it will take profit to get there but that's the way it has always been.

There will be a one world government I think it is inevitable does not matter weather we see that as bad or not.
whst part sounds glorious to you
There is a movie about that a black man was sent to the moon so he can be the first black man on the moonOnly white men set foot on the moon. So racist.
Yes in the future when the human race is more civilized we most certainly will have a one world government representing the human race.
Kinda like a Star Trek type world.
Spreading across the stars with infinite resources, mining other plants etc?
Perpetual nationalism where if we don't like our governments we can just move to a new planet?
All with unlimited economic opportunity
Basically a liberal's nightmare. I described the liberal dreamworld above. Living broke in a clay hut being cuckolded by a transvestite and perhaps getting some horrible disease on purpose "just to see what is like".
That sounds incredibly uncivilized given the potential for abuse and taking the entire species down one narrow evolutionary path -- and you shouldn't take star trek so seriously

This sounds like the ramblings of the insane.
What does perpetual nationalism have to do with anything
