Pretty much RNG, you get the best chance of good gems from tempered elders. Mid-tier tempered investigations(Diablos, azure rathalos, Odegaron etc) can also drop good gems.

I got a bunch of cloth from sending the Palico safari out to the rotten vale to fight odgoron to help farm nourishing extracts.

how hard does the tempered stuff hit in normal areas? I went into the arena vs a tempered azure rathalos and pink rathian and the pink rathian oneshoted me with that fliping tail strike.

I think it's the same anywhere you fight something. Once you start augmenting armor your defence increases by a good margin.

Just so you know you can actually pretty much guarantee bloodborne gems of certain types off certain chalice dungeons. This is waaaaaay more rando unfortunately.

Nah just need, Streamstones from mid tier tempered monsters and a lot of money. Cost me like 700k and i still haven't fully upgraded an armor set. Keep running out of armor spheres.

Pwmf22gu guarantees tempered attack gems but the curses are RNG as fuck

Sadly running out of reasons to play, basically all i have left to do is fight tempered elders for gems and a couple more augments. I've absolutely loved playing this, one of my favourite games in years. I'll definitely be playing every bit of dlc they release.

I’m autistic when it comes to weapons. I’ve logged in 140 hours in a month and will keep grinding for more weapons and builds. Plus I have nothing to play till Farcry 5 comes out.

That is the main complaint about this game, the end game is shit. Other MH games supposedly had hundreds of hours of content.

I'm at 200 hrs lol. i don't think i've ever played a game this much in such a short space of time.

I didn't even reach the end game on the 3DS MH so i have nothing to compare it to. I can't complain though i've definitely had my moneys worth.

Yep either a hero or warriors stone has to drop from a tempered monster
