Multiplat Monster Hunter World

A couple of Devilhjo's in. First one was frustrating during the initial expadition, kept getting these 3 beast turf wars with Jho, AzRath, and Bazel. Then his damn stomps kept me tumbled a good portion of the fight. Ended up carting once when I was poisoned, then caught on fire while, then finally got knocked into lava where I then came up dizzy. So just stood there, dizzy in lave while on fire with poison seeping through my veins watching, helplessly watching my health bar plummet.

Special assignment quest went a TON smoother. Just happened to have 3 Footing decorations, so by switching my armor/decorations around I was able to swith out just one piece and picked up Tremor Resist 3 and Blight Resist 3. Negating his constant tremors opened up a ton of attack windows. Tempered next, guessing he'll one shot the shit out of you.

Tempered DEviljo is the hardest monster I've faced yet. Unbeatable so far. SOS 10 tries we got carted within 10 minutes. One hit from him and 3/4 of my health are vanished.

yeah, the tempered Deviljho is wrecking my shit. He's not terribly hard, every hit is damn near a 1 shot. The standard HR isn't bad at all.

Decided to make a new Lance build just for this bastard. I've been meaning to set one up, so now is as good a time as any. I'm sitting on a Vaal and Bazel gem and both landed look good. I'm just a Xeno wing or veil away from either weapon.

Yeah my squad beat tempered devilho thrice. All 3 times we were one death away from wiping but got to capture him.

Bring traps and the goodies to make more. We took turns trapping him. Flashes to stun him if u see teammates in danger. Fucker is tough but not unbeatable.

I tried to mount his ass but never got a ride once even though I was aiming for it and usually get at least one if not 2 rides. My teamsters were more successful.

I noticed a lot of people are starting to use some sort of heavy bow shooting shit. Those rank 200 Japanese guys are knarly.
Seeing less and less great sword dudes . I need to learn something new.

I cen see that. Deviljho is so damn tall, that even with the Greatsword it's hard as hell to hit anything other than his feet. I saw a dude today that was HR 348, I just can't even fathom how many hours that dude has put into the game. I have 110 hours in now and I'm only HR 58. I spent a lot of time farming specifc materials working towards builds so the leveling was a little slow, but now that my main focus is grinding tempered elder dragons for augmentations leveling has gone a lot faster.

I think getting roflstompled by Deviljho is a good insentive to take a break and migrate over to Ni No Kuni 2 for a bit.

Beat Deviljho twice with randoms. I brought traps and farcasters and just chain trapped him. I set 8-10 traps and others did as well. Only one cart per hunt and one was a one shot on me that looked Iike an average attack.

The quest has been taken down tho, supposedly due to people complaining about the difficulty. I figured it was only a weekend event anyway. If you could farm him for stream stones, no one would hunt anything else.

I hope not. It's the only event that's semi exciting to me. Everything else is too easy...

Tempered Nerg is harder than Tempered Jho. Jho can be chain trapped and Nerg hits every bit as hard.

Although I heard rumblings that they secretly buffed all tempereds with the Jho patch, and I am noticing a lot more damage from Tempered elders. Vaal managed to quintuple cart a party I was in and normally he’s a scrub.

I did a bunch of tempered elders after the 2.0 patch, and they didn't seem to have any difference in damage output. Big moves like Nerg's bombing dive, or any of the big breath attacks would either 1-shot people or have them hanging on by a thread. The tempered Jho would knock out like 3/4 of my life bar with like 445 defense getting hit by basic attacks. When grinding the tempered elders this weekend the only times I really lost was to Teostra, he always seems to give my groups fits. I killed a bunch of Nerg/Vaal/Daora with little problem.

Comes out in January, easily my most hyped game of 2018. I've been dying for a proper console entry into the Monster Hunter series, so I'm fucking thrilled for this to hit. MH3U was fun on the Wii U, but it was a port of a 3DS game and lack of voice chat on the Wii U made communication 1000x harder than it needed to be.

Here is some new footage from TGS. Not a fan of The Handler, but I'm guessing that is just for the demo and you'll be able to turn off in the main game. Also the guy playing is terrible and it hurt my feelings watching him try to launch attacks with the Longsword.

Men must be drunk to play this game or this is for kids that live in big city and never play war in woods

hhmmm no tempered Jho and this game suddenly got a bit more boring...

I enjoyed the challenged tempered Jho was. Don't remember tempered Nerg being difficult but maybe the buff made him tougher...

Made the Bazel Lance yesterday. I haven't played around with the lance since Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, but I was pleasantly surprised how much DPS I was able to dish out. Even without adjusting my build, it was really nice to be able to stay in the pocket and get a lot of pokes in. I went up against Robodan since I needed his mats for Guard Charm lvl 2 and I cut his tail and must have broken every part possible with the added blast damage on the lance.

Thinking I'm going to give the lance a serious go and create a build for it. I have the mats to level up the Guard Charm to lvl 3, but it will take my Vaal gem which I was planning on making his lance since it has more utility. Will probably max the charm and make a different lance. It might be on the weaker side, but the Pukei Poison lance seems to be a nice back up since you can keep the pressure on with poison damage with little worry of getting hit. With a level 3 Guard Charm and the Bazel Chest piece, I should be able to max the skill pretty easily. The Uragaan set has guard on it to, but it's so damn ugly I don't think I can do that to myself. 3 piece gives you the Guard Up ability, but I'm already used to avoiding the bigger elder dragon attacks so it's not really a deal breaker for me.

Made the Bazel hunting horn, I don’t see the appeal of the hunting horn at all. Shit damage and the songs are shit.

I believe the jho hunting horn is considered awesome in the game based on the last video I saw.

They absolutely buffed the elders. Fucking Kushala was hitting as hard as tempered Jho with basic swipes and carted me 9 times in a row whereas I’ve beaten the shit out of him effortlessly until this week. Unless the Odogaron armor is shitty armor. I use it for protective polish since I can’t get a fucking deco to drop.

Anywho, deleted this game. 250 hours is enough for me. One mediocre monster isn’t enough to keep me interested.

Greatswords are outdated, I’d go so far as to say melee is outdated in this game. Time to join ranges master race.

I got a kick out of these hitting back to back.

9:52 - 250 hours in. Time to call it quits.
9:53 - Time to make a new bow

I have been playing this game for 2 weeks now and I am growing more obsessed as I progress through the game.

it only gets worse. the more gear you build, the more you need. I'm still trying to wean myself off, but it's a strong drug.
