I posted this in the main thread...
Jobbers used to be regional indy performers that would be used to enhance the higher guys. I.e. the term "enhancement talent". Most would get smashed with very little offense to speak of and were used primarily to showcase the wrestler they were facing move set.
You then had jobbers that were a step above like Mike Sharpe, SD Jones, Brooklyn Brawler, Jim Powers or Barry Horowitz that would actually get in a good bit of offense, make a good showing but rarely win (if ever).
Finally you had the lower tier, just above jobber status guys that would beat jobbers but normally lose in matches on SNME, WCW Saturday Night, etc. Guys that fall into this category would be Koko B. Ware, Haku/Meng, Hugh Morris or Paul Roma
